The living room is furnished with 42”Roku TV with internet, comfortable leather sofa, chair and ottoman. The wood burning stone fireplace is cozy on cold winter nights. The modern kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, with ice maker, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, bowls, silverware, pots & pans,, bakeware, mixer,& a variety of small appliances is fully furnished with everything except groceries to be able to prepare any meal including Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner
The 28x12 deck is handicap accessible from the upper driveway and has a patio table with chairs, glider,,charcoal & propane grills. Cushions for the chairs & glider are in the kitchen pantry. The main level of the house is entered from the deck into the kitchen. 1 bay is used for an all purpose room as a den/play room/sitting/man cave/extra sleeping space. It is furnished with a full size sleeper sofa, futon, lounge recliner, chairs and rugs all mismatched.
There is a bedroom in the basement with queen size bed . The house has central heat and air and there are 2 small electric heaters with the look of a wood burning stove available iif additional heat or ambiance is desired, Blankets & pillows are stored in the closets. Extra sheets for downstairs futon and sofa are in the chest of drawers in the downstairs bedroom.
A favorite spot to enjoy the sunrise or refreshing, relaxing mountain air is the front porch, complete with swing and rocking chair.s.
There are plenty of linens for the beds and towels, but please bring all of your own toiletries and personal items. There is a small hair dryer &,curling iron. Please do not leave plugged in after use.—a fire hazard! There are irons & ironing boards ,a small and large steamer convenient for the wedding guestsThe house has 2 cheap bicycles in the basement but bring your helmets.
The cabin has a fire extinguisher (located in the kitchen by the refrigerator, & in the basement bedroom, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors , a sewing kit and a first aid kits. There is a door bell at the side doors on both sides of the house and at the front door.
I can be reached day or night by phone. Walls are washable with egg shell paint. There are pine floors on the entire living level, so please no high heel shoes on these floor.s!! The cabin has a handicap, wheel chair accessible ground level entrance located on the deck which is the entrance to the main living level of the house .Enter by driving on the gravel driveway which goes behind the cabin to the deck side of the cabin. Solar lights & red reflectors line the gravel drive which extends from the paved drive and continues around the back of the house with ample room for parking and turning around at the top. This is the best place to park closest to the kitchen door and near 2 of the bedrooms.
Dahlonega is a fun place to be whether panning for gold, shopping in the quaint little shops with artists to include painters and those making pottery, eating the good food, listening to music on the town square, visiting the Gold Museum, attending a wedding, winery hopping, tubing, playing golf, fishing, attending Gold Rush or Bear on the Square, or a function at UNG or Ranger Camp,visiting the zoo,watching or running in a race, watching or riding in the bicycle 6 gap or just sitting in a rocking chair on swinging on the front porch - or watching a movie.There is something for everyone to enjoy!
