In peaceful Danby Dale at the heart of the glorious North York Moors National Park. Beacon View is a beautiful grade II listed Yorkshire sandstone barn. In a stunning situation facing a green and dovecote to one side and stunning views across the dale and heather moorland on the others.

The private child and family friendly garden is enclosed and laid mainly to lawn - perfect for croquet. An undercover flagged BBQ area, originally a hay barn, makes a great party space with lighting and electric points, gas BBQ, dresser, tables and seats, see the original milling machine too. Drink in the wonderful National Park view! Private designated parking for 3 cars.

Beacon View Barn sleeps 6+ cots in 3 double bedrooms. The 30ft long sitting room has vaulted ceilings, oak beams, Yorkshire flagstone floors, a wood burning stove + the modern comforts of underfloor heating, variable mood lighting, flat screen TV's/DVD's, ipod docking station, UE Boom speakers. Expect big squishy leather sofas, antiques including the huge old refectory dining table the perfect place to make tomorrows holiday plans round - will it be surfing, kayaking for sandcastles on the beach or a day in Historic York? - Free Wifi. The ground floor master bedroom has lovely views through the french windows it has a large en suite wet room which has handy rails near the loo and shower. The big 1st floor family bathroom has a double roll top bath, separate rainfall shower and stereo speakers to boot! A well equipped kitchen, separate utility room and cloak room helps keep the whole family organised for the holiday ahead. All this of course makes for a really comfy, relaxing and memorable holiday for a discerning family or group of friends.

Why can't I call Elizabeth (the owner) before booking?

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Elizabeth (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Elizabeth (the owner) a message.

If Elizabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
