Greenwich Creek Lodge is located in the small settlement of Cartwright's, a sub-settlement of Deadmans Cay, on one of the remote islands in the Southern Bahamas away from the hustle and bustle of the city life of Nassau.
There are two daily flights provided into Deadmans Cay Airport (local) out of Nassau Airport (LPIA). The two carriers are the national airline Bahamasair and Southernair, which makes for an easier connection, from an international destination. Flights can also be booked directly from our website for your convenience.
Greenwich Creek Lodge is located approximately about two to three miles south of the Deadmans Cay airport on the western side of the island, directly on the waterfront. It is slightly south of the center of Long Island, which makes it the ideal location to base your trip from. Rental cars can be arranged, at time of booking, to guarantee availability.
All of the rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans, tiled floors, and an ensuite bathroom. They each have a microwave, a refreshment center and/or refrigerator, an electric kettle, a flat screen TV, a table with two chairs, individual water heater, a safe deposit box, a blow dryer and toiletries are provided. A basic continental breakfast is also included, along with pick-up and drop-off at the Deadmans Cay airport.
The location of Greenwich Creek Lodge make is easy to access all of what Long Island has to offer. Also, there are other small stores that provide miscellaneous items including DVD rentals. Beautiful secluded beaches are a few miles away and accessible by vehicle, or via kayak or a short run or walk.
The world famous “Deans Blue Hole” is also located about eight mile south of Greenwich Creek Lodge. Long Island was one of the islands visited by Christopher Columbus and there is a monument to mark the location. It was one of the islands that was originally settled by the Lucayans and the also by the Loyalist, as a result there are a few ruins of the plantations, and sites where the Lucayans lived.
