THE SNUG enjoys the 3 acre extensive private gardens of Lymington Cottage and it is surrounded by beautiful shrubs and trees.

Situated along a country lane between Truro and Falmouth, at the head of the Devoran river. The owner lives nearby and is a mine of information on local walks, pubs etc.

Partly 18th century, this lovely old detached character barn has been renovated and furnished with great attention to detail by the owner who is extremely helpful and welcoming.

On entering the glazed kitchen door you arrive in the neat and well equipped kitchen with the bathroom and shower on the same level, then three steps up lead you to the large and very spacious lounge with a high open beamed ceiling and comfortable co-coordinated furnishings. An attractive living flame gas fire (looks like a wood-burning stove) and many books, maps and items of interest, make this a cosy and peaceful spot for a holiday at any time of the year.

There is a pretty bedroom which leads off the lounge which has a 5' double bed. There is sofabed in the lounge to allow for more versatile accommodation for travelling companions. Outside is an ornamental pond, garden furniture, a paddock, and a swing! There is a river side walk, a wild flower meadow and an orchard, all of which you are welcome to enjoy. Due to the river running along the boundary of the gardens, young children should be supervised. The river can be fast flowing and the pond is unprotected.

Dogs are very welcome and are encouraged to use the gardens with their owners, but it is not fenced and secure.

The Snug is close to the coast to coast cycle path which passes nearby and close to Devoran (good food pub, bus stops, creek, quay and excellent bird watching) with bicycles to hire near by.

As soon as your booking is confirmed, I will send on the arrival directions and the details of where to find the key, we will not be there to meet you, so there is no need to worry about being late. Check in is from 4.00pm unless we have agreed otherwise. We do not pop in unannounced at any time as we like our guests to have as much privacy as they want and to feel "at home" during their stay. but we are close at hand if we are needed.

Thank you so much for your very kind and complimentary comments regarding the Snug and its presentation you are very kind. Whilst we appreciate your constructive comments regarding the WIFI and the address we need to point out that we discovered when checking both of these these things during your stay, it seemed that you had not read the WiFi log in details in the info book provided (it is actually high speed fiber optic broadband) and it was your security that was the problem and you had not noticed or read the address and post code that were sent to you prior to your stay, along with all of your arrival details and directions, preferring to rely purely on Sat Nav alone. Unfortunately we have never had anyone send a parcel to the wrong address before,so I am sorry we were unable to trace it for you and glad that the wonderful local postman knew where to put it. It is slightly unfair of you to say that you would struggle for privacy having already stated that you had not even met the owner. Most of our guests are delighted that the owner is there for a quick chat and on hand for useful information if needed and then he leaves you to enjoy your holiday and his beautiful gardens with no further intrusion at all.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
