Les Gites de La Touche are located in the French town of Pleudihen-sur-Rance, perfectly positioned between the centre of town and the picturesque hamlet of Mordreuc on the banks of La Rance.

3 self-contained and newly renovated cottages – La Souillarde sleeps 2-4, Le Chanvril sleeps 4 and Le Bois sleeps 4-6. Le Bois - Catering for 4-6 people - **PLEASE NOTE - This is the booking page for Le Bois gîte only**

The gîtes are available on a weekly basis or minimum 3 nights depending on the time of year.

For groups – family and friends, who would like to holiday together or gather for a special occasion, there is the possibility of booking all 3 gîtes, catering for 14 people in total.

Newly renovated in a 300 year old barn the gites are stylish and modern but retain features of their former life. The living area is open plan, light and welcoming.

The gîtes are set in the coutryside within walking distance of the village centre, Mordreuc and coastal paths. Mordreuc has a beach and little port as well as a local seal who can be found sunbathing on the beach or jetty most days.

The gites are set in large grounds and the surroundings are tranquil and peaceful.

Le Bois gîte consists of;- Well equipped kitchen featuring electric cooker, oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave and toaster.- Large dining table- Spacious living area with french doors opening onto a paved courtyard- LCD TV and DVD player, stereo system- Wi-fi (included)- Off-street parking. There are 2 spacious bedrooms on the first floor in Le Bois - one with 160cm double bed, the other with 2 single beds which can be joined to make a 160cm double if required. There is a 3rd bedroom on the ground floor with double bed and a view and access to the garden.

Like many old Breton houses, the stairs are quite steep.

Le Bois has one bathroom with a large open shower. There is also an additional separate toilet to provide ample flexibility. Le Bois also includes laundry facilities with an all in one washing machine and dryer. Heating is provided by an ecological wood burner using compressed wood pellets and a heat exchange extractor system which captures and reuses heat that is jettisoned by standard bathroom and kitchen extractor systems.

Le Bois is accessible to those in wheelchairs as it was renovated to current French standards for disabled access. A bedroom with double bed and access to the garden and a bathroom with a large open shower are on the ground floor.

Pure cotton linen and towels are provided.

The Local Area: Pleudihen-sur-Rance is a picturesque location on the banks of a river - La Rance. There are pretty coastal tracks meandering through the fields and along the tidal river Rance. The surrounding area has a long history and there are many sites not far away making Pleudihen-sur-Rance the perfect base to explore Brittany. Other nearby sites of interest include Mont St Michel, Fort La Latte, Dinard, Cancale and Fougeres.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kate (the owner) a message.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
