The cottage dates from approximately the 1600's and has been recently superbly renovated and is an ideal place for that romantic stay or to just chill out and enjoy the surrounding area with the family. Full of charm this delightful cottage oozes with comfort and style. Situated In a quite and peaceful location yet conveniently located very near many shopping facilities and local restaurants.
The cottage consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with woodburner for those chilly days and nights and electric heaters if you don't fancy lighting the fire. The kitchen is fully equipped, facilities include full fridge/freezer, oven, gas hob, microwave, electric kettle, blender, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and washing machine.
There is a cot available for infants. PLEASE NOTE: All children under 2 years old are free of charge. All children over 2 years old are at a chargeable rate. Please refer to rates or enquire for further information.
There is an outdoor area at the back of the cottage for guests to use.
The property's land extends across the road which is ideal for recreational activities if you don't fancy going out for the day. There is a walking and cycle way going past the door which takes you by the river, 'La Varenne'.
The cottages are situated within the Park Naturale and backing onto the Andaines Forest, 6.3 klms from the busy town of Domfront with its Medieval Quarter and Abbey
Le Cerisier is within easy reach of Port of Caen being only 1 1/2 hrs away and alternative routes ... eg. via Calais.
The village of Champsecret itsef is only 4.6 klms away perfect for picking up your bread and croissants for the day.
The famous D Day beaches are within easy reach as is the famous Mont St Michel and many other historic sites.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kerrie was so proactive with communications, giving great recommendations prior to our arrival and even let us know about the impending fuel strike prior to our departure! The cottage was absolutely beautiful with it being so evident that Kerrie cares about her guests, and wants them to have a luxurious stay. Lovely area to explore...wish we had our bikes to see more! 5*!

Holiday Cottage is a comfortable, cosy place, including excellent facilities and furniture. Beautifully renovated house, great facilities and furniture. Everything we needed and more: comfortable bed and shower, great kitchen to cook, wifi and we enjoyed watching dvd's in the evenings. We had a relaxed time and I would surely recommend it to anyone. We loved the gite in Le Cerisier, it has been so nicely furnished and was kitted out with firewood which made our stay super comfortable. Thanks to Kerrie for leaving a baguette and some Camembert too. We enjoyed eating that and other local produce in front of the fire, but also had a lovely night out drinking the local amber ale at the Secret Knight in Champsecret. The town was very basic, but the people were very friendly so that suited us, as did the rural walk to get there (we came to France to get away from the usual hustle and bustle). We definitely want to return for a longer break and explore the area in more depth, it made a great base for us.

A quiet, secluded, peaceful place to stay, holding all the charm you could wish for in a traditional French cottage. Close enough to Domfront for convenient shopping and petrol and it truly is a beautiful place.
