This cozy traditional stone house, stands in quiet nature hidden in the typical Cretan landscape , just at five minute walk distance from the center of the picturesque well preserved village of Douliana, just 3 kilometres from the blue flags of the beaches of Kalives, Almirida and Kera, and at the same time very close to many walking /trekking destinations.
House at ground level can accommodate 2 +1 people with 1 bedroom and 1 couch that easily become bed next to the fire place.
Manolis House is not in a mainstream touristic settlement. The vivid hot spots of action (night life, beaches and fancy restaurants) are within 10min range by car, but in Douliana you can have this deep relaxed feeling. As if you were isolated ,or even lost. Soundtrack to that: Singing Birds. Specially on the mornings.

All rooms have views of the surrounding green hills. The sitting /dining room seats up to six people and leads into a small but fully equipped kitchen. (fridge, boiler, coffee pot, small oven, 2 hot plates)
The house features also unique handmade furniture from local cypress wood, and a careful selection of traditional and modern artworks decorates the pleasant interior.

Also a bathroom with shower, a fireplace with internet access. We have deliberately removed TV appliances. We can provide you however if you ask for it, with no extra cost. (Greek channels only)
The exteriors are including a swimming pool , (shared for both houses, 4.50 x 9.50 m, 1.40 m depth ).The pool is seasonal. Opens around first of May till middle of November. These limits are adjusted accoring to the reservations each year.
We provide you also with sun umbrellas -the Cretan sun is intense- and there is a range of furniture including patio coffee table & chairs , sunbeds and a children's play area, plus easy parking and complimentary bicycles for easy rides.
All guests have access to the gardens with season vegetables and fresh eggs! Ask Mr Manolis in your arrival about more info.
We can also provide baby gear including, baby bed ,a high chair, with retractable table at no extra charge.
Breakfast is not included, but on your arrival you will enjoy a welcoming snack or breakfast.
As a quest at Manolis House you will enjoy the relaxing environment and the quiet tree surroundings, interrupted only by occasional bird chirps. However, the owner and son, (Mr Manolis and Dimitris) are easily assessable by phone as they live near by. You can contact them at any time by using the provided landline. They will be happy to assist and don’t hesitate to ask recommendations about tours, taverns and other destinations.

Mr Manolis, owner and an retired carpenter is daily watering the garden and cleaning the pool. He likes to spoil the guests with tomatoes and seasonal vegetables and some of his small production wine that he is really proud of !
Maid service,clean sheet and towels will be provided after three nights.

Smoking is prohibited inside the houses. We ask your maximum attention even when smoking outside, because Manolis Houses are literally surrounded by trees, and the risk of fire is extremely high during the hot summer months. Manolis Houses are controlled and certified from the Fire Department, and have all the necessary equipment and installations. On your arrival, please read carefully the provided booklet and familiarize yourself with the emergency plans.
