Sous Mirathe Holiday Cottage is a quaint detached former Gatekeepers Cottage nestled in the midst of beautiful French countryside with far reaching views of the Chateau de Duras beyond.

Both bedrooms (one on the ground floor) have ensuite shower rooms, the first floor bedroom has a zip and link super king-sized bed that separates in to two single beds, making the cottage suitable for either two couples, or a family. A well equipped kitchen diner with beautiful fireplace, woodburning stove and a comfortable upstairs lounge with both French and UK Freesat TV. A good sized private garden wraps around the cottage, there is a covered terrace & BBQ for outdoor dining and a 5m x 3m heated above ground pool and sun deck, with sun loungers and further outdoor seating. Situated on a quiet lane with no near neighbours, yet just 3km from the bastide town of Duras and 6km from Monsegur, and their selection of bars restaurants and weekly markets. Plum Village’s New Hamlet is a twenty minute walk away and less than 10 minutes walk to Jardin de Boissana, which serves refreshments and afternoon tea in the summer months. Vineyards, cycling and walking opportunities are a plenty. Being close to the Lot et Garonne, Gironde and Dordogne border Sous Mirathe Holiday Cottage makes an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of South West France and a peaceful retreat for those just wishing to get away from it all.

Well behaved pets are welcome on the ground floor of the cottage by arrangement at the time of bookiing.

Flexible longer term stays may be available out of season for house hunters or relocators at a discounted rate.

The cottage, pool and garden are yours in their entirety for the duration of your booked stay. You will be left alone to enjoy your holiday,we live about 15 minutes away, so just a phone call away should you need assistance. Duing hot weather someone will need to stop by occasionally to water the garden and on occasion maintain the pool.

Why can't I call Nicky (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.

If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
