From the owner

We have three beautifully finished cottages in the heart of Lanchester. Cottage 3 has a good size, fully furnished kitchen, with patio doors into the garden. You will find a king size bedroom and we also have a double sofa bed. The lounge is incredibly comfortable, perfect to relax in after long walks! The views are breathtaking throughout the seasons. Making this the perfect year-round get away.

The cottages offer a little haven of tranquillity but are close enough to the hustle and bustle of Newcastle (just 16 miles) and of course, the picturesque City of Durham, which is just 8 miles down the road. Perfect to make your trip extra special if you are visiting family at the university.

You will be situated close to parks, restaurants (with fantastic dining!) And the region is oozing with art and culture! This is sure to provide you with lots of day trips out during your stay.

I think you’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the views, the location, and the people. The cottage is finished to a high standard, to ensure you have a comfortable stay all year round. It is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Whatever your getaway, this is your perfect rural retreat in the heart of the Great British Countryside

Why can't I call Lynn (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lynn (the owner) a message.

If Lynn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
