Sitting on the village green yet a mere 1 minute walk from the beach finds Greenview Cottage ideally placed for your holiday. Local shops, bars and restaurants are all within a minute or 2s walk. For those with a sporting disposition the water sports area is a few minutes walk away and the local 18 hole golf course is 1 minutes drive. The iconic golf courses of St Andrews are less than 30 minutes drive from Greenview Cottage. Authentic property, one of the original houses in the village, retaining a rustic feel but with the modern comforts needed for a comfortable stay. Living room with flatscreen TV with Freeview, books & games, dining table and a fantastic, real open fire. Downstairs double bedroom with views to the village green and traditionally furnished. Upstairs twin bedroom overlooking village green. Single/Captain's Room with cabin/style bed - comfortable for child or small adult, TV with built in DVD player - NOTE only for DVDs, not connected to the house aerial.. Kitchen with modern appliances opening onto small but very usable courtyard with table, seating 4. Downstairs family bathroom with bath & shower.

Lovely house close to beach and all facilities

We had a lovely time in Elie. The house had everything we needed and the owner Julie was so helpful! The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

We would refer any prospective guests to the previous responses. The response immediately before this one describes the property as “deceptively large” I can only assume this reviewer understood Greenview is a traditional fisherman’s cottage. As for needing a ‘deep clean’ this is simply not true. The house is professionally cleaned after every guest. The bathroom is quite small but I would again refer the reviewer to the description in the advert. Prospective guests should note the bathroom will be fully refurbished at the end of this season (Nov/Dec 2019) 2020’s guests will be first to enjoy the new bathroom. It still won’t be huge though! The weather was poor during this guest’s stay, so who knows if that helped produce an unrepresentative response. I will post more pictures soon to reassure any prospective guests this is a brilliantly located, good value, comfortable (if as it says slightly ‘rustic’) village house.

Why can't I call Julie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
