This suite has been designed for a 'get-away from it all' rest, surrounding you with the beauty of nature. Prepare to feel very relaxed and at peace in this retreat; a place to recharge and enjoy the presence of nature at its best. The studio villa is designed for couples only, seeking peace and quiet. Completely private, the accommodation provides the most secluded guest quarters, with all the facilities necessary to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible, including a top quality hooded BBQ to allow you to escape the chores of cooking - or order meals from us for a totally complete rest! No additional guests, nor children, can be accommodated in this suite.

In the CLUB VERDIGRIS Romantic BLUE LAGOON suite we provide toaster, kettle, coffee maker and mini bar fridge are all available in the suite, to enable full privacy .... and it also has a gas BBQ and 1-burner hotplate. You have access to a central kitchen offering a microwave and small bench-top heating oven. This suite was designed for a leisurely 'do-nothing' holiday so it is probably a good idea to bring prepared food, or BBQ food.

Eat out at some of the local restaurants if preferred, or we can supply meals if desired - but you must book meals in advance please (a Menu with costs will be provided upon request). We provide a complimentary selection of teas and coffees, with wine and nibbles on arrival.

There is a full bathroom with shower and separate toilet - the bathroom is a dream with huge rain shower head and glass waterfall basin tap.

There is heating and cooling, a ceiling fan, radio and a TV with built-in DVD player, including many movies from which to choose. We do not have TV channels, so only DVDs can be watched. giving you a perfect opportunity to unplug from the racy world back in the city!

The décor is modern, clean and fresh. We have decorated the 'Blue Lagoon' suite in blue against whites – This is the colour of peace and infinity. It is regarded as being a cool colour, and has a relaxing effect. Blue promotes quietness and reserve, giving you peaceful, luxurious surroundings for your stay with us. Bedside lamps and the standard lamp in the living area all have dimmers fitted, giving a soft intimate light.

If you are wanting to self-cater other than using the BBQ, we also provide a superb commercial kitchen with a small bench-top stove, convection microwave, large refrigerator, and typical cooking tools (this is a kitchen that is shared with one other suite).

The 'Blue Lagoon' is a short walk from the parking area with its own private access, and includes a very large and separate fenced garden area for outside relaxation. Each suite has a brazier / fire pit outside which beckons you to sit in the warmth of the glowing coals and gaze upwards to watch the magic of the Milky Way overhead!

As a Wildlife Sanctuary, we boast an abundance of flora and fauna, and you will have the constant pleasure of the beautiful sounds of birds.

Our property is beautiful in a relaxing country-farm style, so we love to be able to share this environment with others. Great views, wide-open space of rural countryside, just an hour from the city. Lots of nature, animals & wildlife.

The view from the 'Blue Lagoon' Studio Villa is simply incredible. Everyone who sees it is delighted. Looking out from the large timber deck across to the lake in the foreground, serenity is at a peak; couple that with the view of the ranges encircling the whole property and you have an area that exudes peace and bliss!

We are an Eco Retreat situated in Toogoolawah, which is in the rural region of Somerset. It is a place of tranquillity, a place for inspiration, a place for discovery, and best of all - a place to relax and create. Nestled in the quietness of the Brisbane Valley, also known as 'The Valley of the Lakes', the peace and serenity of the region is interspersed with the placid waterways of the Brisbane River and surrounding dams, and set against a backdrop of extensive patchwork farmlands surrounded by the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range.

The Retreat buildings. which include only three suites, are 50 to 100 metres from the main house, so you will have a completely private space with no intrusions whatsoever - unless you ask for our assistance ;)

Complimentary wine and nibbles for min 2 nights. On request, by booking in advance, we can arrange special meals for you, from breakfasts and lunches, to healthy dinners, all able to be enjoyed on the apartment's terrace or in the small dining area of the shared kitchen. Costs are supplied when requesting the Menu.

Two-night minimum stay. THREE-DAY MINIMUM on HOLIDAY WEEKENDS, and FIVE DAY MINIMUM over CHRISTMAS.

A $20.00 cleaning fee will be charged per each stay.

We are a Green Eco-sustainable establishment.

We care about the environment, and want our accommodation to be as Eco-friendly as possible. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used. We ask our guests to consider using fewer towels during their stay and not requesting a sheet change unless your stay is longer than a week. We use recycled furniture in the way of antiques when suitable, and even our buildings themselves are recycled, having been resurrected and shifted to our property, then fitted out purposefully for our Retreat. During your stay you will find Eco low wattage lights; separated bins for waste and compost, and natural soaps. We have also included the most desirable organic toilets available, imported from Canada.

All water is supplied via Rain Water Tanks, so we ask you to be especially conservative and not to waste this precious and pure liquid!

Our focus is on the environment and nature around us. Based on a 40 acre rural property in the peaceful countryside of the Brisbane Valley, the setting is grassland and trees, filled with a multitude of wildlife, from birds to mammals and insects. Our guests will be delighted with our nature reserve location - we are proudly registered with the Wildlife Land Trust and Land for Wildlife, respectively, with over 75 species of birds and animals – and still growing!

Guests in all rooms can choose to be fully self-contained if that is their choice – or alternatively we will cater to your needs allowing you the luxury to fully relax and unwind. A commercial standard stainless steel kitchen is centrally located to all rooms, meaning you can order from us a cappuccino, a latte, or a short or long black, a glass of delicious cold-pressed juice, or perhaps a scrumptious smoothie.

A timber-decked private courtyard is provided for each suite, giving a relaxing peaceful area to sit and watch the kangaroos at sunset.

Guest Access

Guests have full sole access to their fully self-contained Studio Villa and surrounding private garden area, that includes a large deck on the front from where you are able to sit in the casual cane outdoor lounge suite and watch the beauty of nature all around you. Light your own Chimenea in the evenings and relax in the calm beauty of the starry night skies.

Step out into your private garden space and light the Fire-Pit - a wonderful atmosphere at any time - summer or winter; day or night!

A Dojo/Gym is available for guest use, but for the safety of all we ask you to let us know when you would like to use any of the equipment, which includes a Rower, Treadmill, Yoga Mats and Swing, Ropes, Hoops, Weights, etc.

Guests may also enjoy our 40 acre property, on which we have a variety of different animals - both wildlife, farm and domesticated.

~ It is fine to take walks around the property, but please understand that we must outline strict guidelines to ensure the safety of all.

If you would like to go for a Nature Walk around the property then this is a very pleasurable activity. You will take in some of the best views around, especially if you manage to reach the top of the back hill, from which the views are majestic!

Safety is of the utmost importance to us and we take great care and attention to detail to ensure that we provide safe areas in which visitors can engage themselves in any activities. Every visitor to our property is required to complete a waiver & release form as a requirement of our insurance company.

~ Farms can be dangerous. It is essential that ALL visitors remain within the set paths and do not wander off to view other areas of the farm.

Interaction with Guests

We meet and greet our guests to welcome them into their abode and show them around, as well as to answer any questions about the local area, sharing local tips on where to go and where to eat if they choose to dine out. We then leave our guests to their own privacy, but will always be available should they need us.
