A superb property as Set in a rural hamlet offering a peaceful location for getting away from the stress and strains of everyday life offering all the necessary facilities to make a holiday enjoyable for all age groups. Tuksumduin is a superb renovation of a 19th century barn which has been converted to create two luxurious self contained four bedroom gîtes. Set in tranquil countryside in the golden triangle between the 'Cité Médiévale' of Gourdon, Sarlat and Rocamadour & is 3.5km from the Dordogne border, with the Dordogne River being just 5.5km away. The barns are well situated for all the sites and attractions the area offers.

The barn has the advantage of the early morning sun at the front of the property until the afternoon and the afternoon and evening sun at the rear, making the patio decking ideal for evening dining. A table and chairs is provided at the front of the house as well as the rear for full use of the sunshine.

Tuksumduin which sleeps 8 + Cot, is one of 2 gïtes created from an old stone barn, providing spacious, comfortable, self contained accommodation, whilst retaining many beams and original features. The sister property Nicotiana can be rented in conjunction with this property for larger family groups or groups of friends which would then provide accommodation for 16 + cots in a total of 8 bedrooms.

Tuksumduin has a fully fitted kitchen diner complete with full cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. Plenty of crockery and glasses are provided, and the cupboards are well stocked with cooking aids, should you decide to dine in.

The utulity room contains a shower and wc and washing machine.

The lounge area is spacious and comfortably furnished with three 3 seater sofas, a midi hi-fi system, sideboard, TV / DVD coffee table and a small selection of books.

Open tread stairs from the kitchen diner lead up to 4 spacious bedrooms furnished with comfortable beds and ample wardrobe and drawer space, there is also room for a cot in the bedrooms .There is a family bathroom with a bath, shower wc and vanity unit.

Doors at the rear of the kitchen/diner lead out to the patio decking complete with bbq & table & chairs for those warm summer evenings, when you prefer to eat outside or just watch the sun go down whilst sampling the local wines. The patio looks out onto a garden area with flowers, whilst the front of the property overlooks farmland.

A bookcase with a selection of books is available for guests to utilise by swapping reading books in the bookcase. Board games are also available for guests to use.

How do damage deposits work?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Robert (the owner) a message.

If Robert (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
