From the owner

This house has 3 bedrooms: two of them have one large bed each, and the other has a secretary with a table lamp and a sofa that can be transformed into two individual beds. We provide linen, pillows, etc. There is a wardrobe in each room.

It has a kitchen equipped with microwaves, toaster, electric cooker and kettle, washing machine, fridge. It has also all the necessary items to cook any meal.

In the bathroom we have shampooing and personalized towels for 6 guests.

In the sitting room we have a meals corner with plates, cups, glasses, table clothes, individual table sets for 6 guests. There are also sofas, satellite TV (148 channels), free Wi-Fi and heating and refreshing devices.

Over there is a terrace from which you can observe the roofs of the village, enjoy the sunset, have a drink or make a barbecue meal.

Life here is like it was hundred years ago. So you can cross a street walking behind a donkey or a horse.

We have not been discovered by tourists yet, so everyone is simple and quiet. The young ones can understand you but older people rarely speak languages.

You must leave your car and walk to supermarket, café or tavern. Windows can be open at night... no harm!

The countryside is one hundred meters away.

However, you can use public swimming pools, a public library with free WI-FI, a Cultural Centre with cinema and an eco-way.

There are important towns nearby with palaces, castles, megalithic monuments and querries.

Évora, Vila Viçosa, Estremoz, Monsaraz, Elvas, Alandroal, Jeromenha, are some of the places that deserve a visit.

Spain is only 80 km away and Lisbon 130km.

You can taste our wines that have received several gold medals in international contests. Our bread is one of the best you have ever eaten as it is produced according with ancient procedures.

Our pottery with naïf motives and scenes is also worth a sight. You can learn about its evolution in the local museum. To live here looks like going fifty years back as eveything is so calm and peaceful as it was in the past.

There is no pollution, the air is pure, and sunsets are astonishing.

On the other side you don’t have luxury, everything is simple but comfortable.

If you prefer luxury to comfort, excitement to tranquility, scintillation to authenticity, please don’t book. This place is not suitable for you and you would not be happy here.

We don’t have conditioned air because it is not necessary, so we don’t want to contribute to spoil the planet. The walls are dick and we use the traditional heating and refreshing devices.

Our photos correspond exactly to reality. We, ourselves, have produced them..

All spaces are available to a family at a time. The guest will have total privacy as they there are no other guests in the house.

Our place may be interesting for couples, families with children or someone who wants to write a book alone or live an adventure inside the heart of countryside.

Poets are welcome!

Pets are welcome too, under some conditions.

There are public bus lines.

There is a person available to offer assistance if required. Mobile number will be displayed.

There are possibilities, if booked in advance, to lead the guests to visit Évora city and monuments, Vila Viçosa Palace, handicraft or field seasonal activities, wine proofs or any other interest manifested, according to the relevant offer of the region.

Linda Pug is not a honest guest! She decided not to stay in my house and even so she evaluated something she didnt know at all. Besides she wanted to host a friend in my house without paying anything, just as invited guests. The house had a problem with drains and i informed her about it. If i were a dishonest person i wouldnt say a word and let her face the situation on arrival. You can verify that property was disactivated because of that problem. This means i care about hosts and like preventing problems instead of solving them according my own interest. Linda seems not to be a very intuitive person as she doesn't understand when somebody is trying to help. Sometimas the problems are so huge that one can not solve them and have to give up, even if you loose much money. I have lost a lot of money by cancelling reservations, but until the problem is completely solved i cant rent the house to anybody. I am protecting my guests even if they dont understand that. It seems to be Linda's case. However i must thank her because she liked my house so much! Best Regards Maria
