Two spacious terraces with the famous view and the courtyard offer you a lot of privacy. Much more than you get normally in Santorini on the famous CALDERA. Also inside you have a lot of space. An ideal place to unwind. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus a living room, kitchen, courtyard and a lot of space for max. 6 adults. VIDEOS on YouTube - just search SPITI BARBARA.

Big Tub for cooling off on the terrace. It's like a small pool! Heating with extra charge possible.

Spiti Barbara is ideal for a family or a group of friends.

The house is built around the courtyard in a horse-shoe shape and has two private terraces with the famous view.

The main house consists of master bedroom (double bed (180cmx200cm) plus single (80cmx200cm) and the 'sleeping loft' for 2 people (135cm), and the living room, bathroom and the fully-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and living room are connected in the typical Santorinian way: with indoors windows and openings, so can hear each other but not see it each other.

On the opposite side of the courtyard is the totally independent bedroom, the 'Mamma Mia' room with a queen bed for 2 (160cmx200cm, an en-suite bathroom (WC/Shower) and a fridge and kettle, so early risers can prepare their breakfast without entering the kitchen in the main house.

From the spacious courtyard (80m2) you have access to bathroom #3 with shower, WC, washing machine and dryer.

Spiti Barbara is our private holiday home and we are a Greek-Australian-German family. It is available only for some weeks each year.

It is one of the last original cave houses in Firostefani on the Caldera overlooking the sea and volcano islands. Enjoy the famous view from the two terraces as well as the enchanting courtyard, which is an additional room in summer.

Spiti Barbara is located in a great neighbourhood in Firostefani. Small shops, tavernas and cafes are in walking distance. The house is located between Hotel Chic and Dana Villas.

Walking distance along the scenic pathway to the main town Fira (10 min). Firostefani is settled on the middle of the caldera and you can easily reach other places by bus, car or on foot. You will find hardly any other house with that much view and privacy at the same time at such a price. Spiti Barbara is one of the last authentic cave houses in Firostefani.The house can host 6 people.

Santorini has a lot to offer, e.g. For nature lovers: the volcano and unique shape of the island invite to discover more on foo. For wine lovers: many wineries offer wine tastings – the volcanic soil makes the wine very special. For music lovers: In August the Megaron Gyzi Festival takes place with renown artists and free admission. And throughout the summer the Santorini Jazz festival in Kamari.In September, there is the famous International Music Festival. Running for over thirty years, the festival features musicians from across the world playing a series of concerts that include opera, chamber music and jazz. The Santorini Volcano Festival fills the month of August with concerts and cultural events, dancing and traditions. The festival is rounded off with a huge firework.

Kids: Welcome, but No house on Santorini is really suitable for kids due to the architecture (steep stairs, no railings etc.) We have a closed courtyard and the access to the terraces is secured with a small gate. Nevertheless parents have to watch over and make sure that the kids can't open the gate or the door and access the terraces or do anything else dangerous.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anette (the owner) a message.

If Anette (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
