Set under the Preseli Hills, Y Bwthyn Bach is a beautifully converted old stone and slate-roofed barn situated well off the road in a tranquil countryside setting. Numerous tiny windows frame glimpses of the garden in which it is set – a garden which is so lovely it has been featured in magazines and on television. In the summer months, the garden is open to the public during the afternoons - Dyffryn Fernant Garden.

Inside the cottage is a wood burning stove and a counter-weighted stair to access the sleeping loft, and the cottage is filled with books and paintings. There isn’t a television so you can enjoy a few days being blissfully disconnected from the stresses and strains of the rest of the world. National Geographic has named Pembrokeshire the second best coastline in the world and it is not hard to see why. All around you wildlife, historic monuments, standing stones and cliff-top walks abound. Quiet and comfortable, this cottage is nothing short of idyllic.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, however there is a charge of £10 per dog per week/short break and a maximum of 2 dogs. Please let us know the number and breed of dogs accompanying you.

Electricity and unlimited logs for the wood burner are included all year round.

Why can't I call Christina (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christina (the owner) a message.

If Christina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
