Rosemerryn Cottage is a wonderful three bedroom, mid terrace house. Set amongst a row of pretty pastel painted cottages, the soft yellow exterior of this property is a sunny welcome to those wanting a refreshing break away. The large, square-framed windows and porchway over the front door are a subtle nod to the age of this property and add to its beautifully maintained exterior.
Upon entering Rosemerryn, guests are greeted with a stunning open plan living dining area. Carpeted throughout the space with soft neutral tones, and walls, the whole room is light, bright and inviting. The large windows allow for loads of wonderful Cornish sunshine to pour in and flood the room. To the left is the main sitting area where guests will find a wonderful woodburning stove, a large sofa and two smaller armchairs. There really is no better place to curl up and relax with loved ones after a fun day exploring. There is a subtle nautical theme running throughout the property with local artwork and soft pastel blues. All provide a gentle reminder as to the stunning location of this cottage.
To the left is the dining area, with a large dining table with six chairs and an exposed, white brick wall. This adds bags of character and texture to the room and is a wonderful backdrop for a cosy meal at the table. There are several walls lights throughout this downstairs space so guests can switch up the atmosphere for warm nights in by the fire with a good movie on the TV.
Positioned at the rear of the property is the fabulous cottage kitchen. Stepping down a small step into the room, this space clearly has a distinct zone, however, the stunning neutral palette throughout this property has enabled the whole of downstairs to feel like one big space. Guests can cook up a wonderful breakfast using the oven and hob for loved ones to enjoy in the lower breakfast area. This space is cosy and inviting, a real intimate area to enjoy quality time together. The modern, shaker style kitchen is a stunning addition to the cottage and in keeping with its character. There is also a dishwasher and fridge freezer.
If the sun is still shining and guests wish to enjoy some more time outside then what better way to enjoy it than a quaint, cottage courtyard. Accessed via the breakfast area, guests will find the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee, evening drinks or dine alfresco. This delightful spot is a sun trap and guests can be sure to experience the peace and quiet of their holiday escape.
Also on the floor guests will find a handy shower and washroom. So practical when returning from the beach and washing away the sand. There is also a washing machine / dryer so guests can enjoy all the usual home comforts.
On the first floor of the cottage are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Beautiful wooden flooring and original wooden doors run throughout the upstairs of the property and are complimented well with the continuing neutral decor.
The master bedroom and second bedroom are both situated at the front of the property and have lovely views over the pastel-painted street below. The master bedroom has a charming, quaint feel and is truly a spare for guests to escape and relax in. The wrought iron, king size bed ensures guests will have a wonderful nights sleep and the large windows enable the Cornish sunlight to creep in in the morning. There is plenty of storage space within this room with a large wardrobe and chest of drawers meaning guests can hide away all their luggage and maintain the tranquillity of the room.
The second bedroom has a double bed and plenty of storage. The crisp white bedding and neutral tones, reflect the light making the space bright and refreshing. There are table lamps on either side of the bed, so if guests are wanting to wind down with a book at the end of the day then this perfect spot! The wonderful soft furnishings in this room are another subtle reminder of the waterside setting of this sweet cottage.
The third bedroom is positioned to the rear of the property and has views over the courtyard area below. It has a small double bed (suitable for one) and some really pretty, nautical artwork.
Also on this floor is the family bathroom. Decorated with neutral painted tongue and groove, this room is a wonderful, nautical escape for guests to lay back and relax. Soak away the Cornish air in a wonderful hot bath. There is also a WC and basin.
Flushing is the picture perfect Cornish postcard setting. With quaint streets lined with characterful fishing cottages, two friendly pubs and an excellent seafood restaurant, guests who are wanting a peaceful and relaxing break can certainly find it here.
Toward the other side of Flushing is a well-equipped children’s play park, an excellent space to bring the little ones to burn off some steam. There is also a well-stocked local shop should guests need anything and wonderful views across the bay to Falmouth town. Just a stroll around the streets or down to the waterfront
