We welcome you for your holidays and relaxation, in our Rooms B&B in “Villa Saint Marc” ( 4 * ). We are located in Forcalquier, in Lubéron, inside Provence, region Provence Alpes Côtes d'Azur.

We have been awarded 4 stars ( ****) from french Ministry of Tourism, as rental holidays.

In this authentic completely renovated XVIII Manor, on the first floor, We offer accommodations for up to 2 persons in large rooms with a private bathroom, suitable for two adults.

The famous breakfast of Cristiana is included. It is prepared with home made marmalade, and with local products, usually organic, and gluten free if needed. All our guest love it. It is served on terrace on ground floor, with a unique and panoramic view on the old citadel, the mountains of Lubéron, and of Verdon around.

In case it is raining ( rarely in summer ), the living room is available, with its high ceiling, restored friezes and cornice, its ground covered with authentic colored cement tiles.

OUR MAIN ADVANTAGES :

- The Authentic place: Bastide (Provencal mansion house) dating from the XVIIIe century, the ground floor having a large shared living room and dining room ( 100 m2). With high ceiling of more than 3m, stone walls, ornate friezes, moldings, cornices. The floor is covered with authentic colored tiles.

- The wonderfull view : we offer the best view of the citadel on day and night (very visible starry sky and the beautiful lighting in the Chapel of Our Lady of Provence). The panoramic view is not only on the citadel, but also on the Lubéron Mountains on the west side, and Verdon Mountains on the east side. This view is available from anywhere in the villa.

- The very convenient geographical situation : situated on the beginning of a hill ( colline Saint Marc ) , we are in a very quiet area, that dominates the citadel . But in the same time, we are near ( at 5 - 10 minutes walk ) the historic center with its charming shops, services, provencal open market with typical products (lavender, honey...), its historical ( Couvent des Cordeliers, … ) and cultural heritage ( Giono country ).

You can also, from our villa, go walking in the country side, for instance to visit the famous “rochers des Mourres”, at 40 minutes walk.

We are equidistant ( about 100 km ) from the Alps and the Mediterranean sea, halfway between sea side and mountain, allowing you to practice swimming, as well as climbing , skiing.

-the calm here ( except the cricket music in summer )

-the wind in the area here, that makes nights fresh and acceptable even in the middle of August

-the quality of the reception by cristiana, who loves this job, and has diplomas in green tourism from italy.

-the nice smell here in summer : mixture of lavender, rose, lime tree

- our water is revitalized using a natural process coming from Austria. It makes it better for drinking, and swimming ...

- The wide variety of activities : from here, you can practice a wide variety of activities : golf, tennis, trekking, horse riding, biking, astronomical viewing , ballooning, shopping, skiing in winter, visiting the sea of Lavenders in the neighbourhood…

- Security : the property (total 4,500 m2) is surrounded by walls. It has a main access from the main road, and another one from a secondary roads.

- Parking : the villa itself is located approximately 100 m from the entrance. Several car parks are available in the property.Garden : 4.500 m2, including an organic vegetable garden, an orchard with fruit trees, a large play area for children, a swimming pool with salt water , a greenhouse.

-Internet wifi everywhere, even in the northen part of the garden, and the swimming pool.

we can communicate in French, English, Italian and a little German; we look forward providing you with advices – if needed of course – for visiting the region, finding a restaurant, practicing a sport. We like socializing, but we are not intrusive. We are vegetarian, we like animals, we like nature and try to harm it as less as possible. We use organic food and products as much as possible, and we sort our bins, and recycle as much as possible. We try our best to keep the property calm, in good shape, and your confort and happiness is our main goal.
