Description

Located in a residencial area overlooking the beautiful Obidos Lagoon. Ideal for families or couples. The house is spacious & airy with terraces off the study and master bedroom - giving stunning views over the lagoon. There's a cosy lounge/diner with a log fire for those cooler winter evenings. Here you'll find a TV/DVD/CD player with a good selection of cds and dvds.The sun room is the perfect spot for breakfast or to curl up with a good book. (there are lots of those too!) Upstairs is a small study leading to the roof terrace - wi-fi available.

The Silver Coast has something for everyone! Just 1 hour from Lisbon airport. Many historical sites & places of cultural interest, lots of good restaurants,bars and beaches. Great for walking, cycling, watersports, golf , horse riding & lots more! The far part of the lagoon offers tranquillity for birdwatchers and picnics.

There's a sailing club & surf school in the nearest coastal village - Foz do Arelho. This is just 2 minutes drive from the property.

Here you can relax & enjoy safe swimming in the sheltered coves on the lagoon side of the beach or surf the waves of the Atlantic Ocean! Or take a boat trip across the lagoon to the little bar/restaurant on the other side.The village has 3 small supermarkets, a bank, post office, restaurants & cafes.

The city of Caldas da Rainha is 10 minutes away. Here you will find a shopping mall with cinemas, a large park with boating lake and tennis courts. The centre has a lively daily market and pedestrianized shopping area.

The historical towns of Obidos, Alcobaca and Batalha are all just a short drive away. Also the beach resorts of Sao Martinho do Porto and Nazare - famed for it's record breaking surfers! A little further afiield ( around an hour's drive) is Lisbon - the wondeful laid back capital city with so much to offer visitors. Also the spectacular town of Sintra - not to be missed!

Enjoy local seafood, visit the Adegas for some wine tasting, local markets etc. Experience an evening of Fado - Portugal's folk music or dance the night away in one of the nightclubs.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicola and Matthew (the owner) a message.

If Nicola and Matthew (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
