From the owner

Kjørsvika is a beautiful bay in Fræna, in the magnificent county of Møre and Romsdal. We are close to attractions like the the National Tourist Routes of the Atlantic Road and Trollstigen/Geiranger. There are nice spots like Bud, Bjørnsund, Trollkyrkja, Molde and within driving distance, Romsdalseggen and Geiranger.

Equestrians (or if you have a wish to try anyway) may enjoy our arena and the opportunity to a nice canter on the beach together with our four-legged colleagues.

We live at an old farm right above a grand beach, with a majestic view to the mountain panorama across the fjord. In the farm house we welcome you to spend time in the nostalgically renovated guest flat with details from gone days.

In the house there is a small library with an old fire place, an elegant dining room with an open fire place and also an old piano. All the bedrooms are in the loft, partly in original timber. The stairs are a bit steep, so when it comes to being suitable for children and elderly you must be aware of this. Since two of the bedrooms are connected with a door we recommend our guests to be familiar with each other. The kitchen is old-fashioned with modern facilities. The bathroom is quite small, but functional, there is also a washing machine.

Outside, there is a garden and a small forest with barbeque opportunities and you are free to use all the space and facilities around the house and on the property. You may take nice walks by the shore, and to the nearest forests and hills. Splendid hiking possibilities in the area, both coastal walks and mountain walks. Fishing possibilities from the shore and from boat.

We have horses, a cat, rabbits and sheep. Guests are welcome to spend time with the animals and we may provide riding lessons. Since we are interested in combat riding from the Middle Ages and Napoleonic times, you may get to play with lances, spears, swords and bows.

On request you may hire a small wooden boat with an outboard motor, fishing tack and life jackets. We may get you in touch with a guide that can take you out fishing at Hustadvika by the Atlantic Road. You may also book trekking guides and kayak trips.

Additional services, pay on spot:

Riding lesson/hike to the forest and the beach: 250,- NOK 1-2 hours.

15 ft wooden boat, fuel not included: 200,- NOK a day. Experienced people only. Three to four at the time, stay inside the bay.
