From the owner

The house was built in the 18th Century during the Venetian occupation of the island. It has been the residence of the British Governor and the National Bank of Greece among other things. It was restored in 2014 and in 2018 with new sound proof Windows installed as the waterfront vacation home of its owners so it has everything you need for a great vacation.

There is plenty of space to relax inside and outside. The front garden has a new wooden table and chairs, perfect for an evening drink before your dinner, watching the boats coming in or a late night cocktail or coffee. The house is in a perfect location to everything. Next door to restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, boats to Antipaxos, scooter/car/bicycle and small boat rental places.

The high ceilings and large french windows give the house light and airy feel. The open plan living room has a sitting room with two large sofas with a coffee table, a dining area for 6 and a well equipped kitchen for those interested in cooking, with modern appliances including a microwave oven, stove, toaster and espresso machine and all cooking utensils silverware, glasses and plates (plastic and glass) .There is also a TV and a CD player which you can use listening to lounge music and watching the view while sitting to the softy sofa. There is air conditioning in the living area and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The views from the two bedrooms and the living room face the port and you ca watch the various boats or just people walking by. Wi-Fi works flawlessly.

The two bathrooms are nicely updated and very clean, with great water pressure for soothing showers where you can relax after a hot day at the island of Antipaxos. A hand soap, hair dryer, toilet paper and clean towels for face & shower are included.

There is also a new washing machine iron and ironing board so no need to bring so many clothes.

Comfortable Queen sized and a single bed as well as a sofa bed in the living room are expecting you to relax and sleep well at your vacations. An added bonus is the daily house cleaning service to keep the house clean and tidy as if it were your own.

The best option for your trip is to stay in this spacious apartment, with lots of natural light and perfectly located in the center of the Gaios. A unique space, fully equipped, decorated with a lot of style and very authentic.

A bottle of Greek wine and fresh fruits from the island are complementary in order to feel the Greek hospitality and feel welcome in my house.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. The enhanced cleaning routine will be also applied according to a health protocol which will be followed in order to prevent any Covid 19 issues during your stays.

On the waterfront, the house is an impressive 19th century building. The centre of Gaios is only a 2 minute walk. I will definitely recommend the house to my friends!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kate (the owner) a message.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
