House includes a fully operating kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 full baths and free parking. December thru February are perfect months to visit the Texas Coast. The temperatures are ideal. The beach is wide open, relaxing to walk on and collect sea shells. No lines at restaurants and area amenities. Just open the doors and let the sea breeze waft through the house. Watch your favorite football team play, then enjoy the deck. Treat yourselves to a relaxing weekend at the beach.
My lovely West End house is located in the quaint Sea Isle subdivision on Galveston Island's West Beach and is located within easy walking distance (2.5 blocks) from the beach, next to a bird sanctuary (great for birding), a marina with 2 private boat ramps on the bay side, a community swimming pool (open during the summer months, fee for use), private fishing pier on the bay side, kid's playground, tennis court, a bar and two restaurants – one casual and one that is more fine dining (reservations suggested during the high season).
House amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, a flat screen TV with AT&T UVerse cable and high speed Wi-Fi, 2 queen sized beds, IKEA sofa that opens to make a full sized bed in the living room (sleeps 4-5 comfortably), 2 full baths, windows in every room which all open to allow the sea breezes through, washer & dryer in the unconnected downstairs garage.
Sea Isle has a private beach parking area with a walkway over the dunes to get to the beach. Golf cart rentals available from several vendors close by to cruise Sea Isle and ride to the beach. They will deliver and pick up the cart - no need to go there!
If you're looking for the laid back beach experience, then Sea Isle is just perfect for that. It's a quiet neighborhood that's easily walkable. Start your day with coffee on the front deck and enjoy the sunrise over the ocean or a sunrise walk on the beach. Then end your day the same spot with a glass of wine, cocktail or your favorite beverage and enjoy the sea breezes. My favorite place to watch the the sunset is at the end of the fishing pier on the bay side of the neighborhood each evening. Surrounded by the waters of the west bay -- it's absolutely sublime. Guests who have stayed at my house have said it's like coming back to their own home at the end of each day.
You have access to the full house and outside parking... it's a house rental (owner is not on site). You have access to the private community pool during the high season) – fee is $50 for up to 10 people for a week. Owner can set up pool access with the Sea Isle HOA office.

Sea Isle is located about 20 minutes from attractions such as Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, Rain Forest Café, The Strand downtown historical district and Galveston's new Pleasure Pier. Galveston is a 20 min. drive into town from Sea Isle. We are less than an hour from Hobby Airport in Houston so you won't spend a lot of time getting here.
I have directions with maps I will send you in advance of your stay. Along with tips on the house, neighborhood, restaurants, etc. Guests have said they love our area recommendations.
