♡Live the DREAM at our amazing waterfront location! Grab a bevy! Your tranquil cottage awaits. This cozy waterfront space is bright, open & airy for your stay. Escape the chaos for a few ☆starry☆ nights.

Please read the important stuff!!

● We live on-site with 2 friendly dogs. If you don't like dogs, don't stay here.

● If it's too windy or if it's raining, you shouldn't have a campfire.

● If the weather sucks, we can't take you on a boat ride.

● Bring water to drink (the water here is from a well).

● Located on an island. Access is by drive-on ferry. Getting on costs $8 but leaving the island is free.

● There are only houses on the island so please plan your trip accordingly.

● While there is a TV, Netflix is no longer compatible with the box. We offer Amazon Prime.

▪︎This charming & sunny 2nd floor cottage is an entire space that comes complete with a COMFORTABLE queen size bed & a 2 seat sofa, pulling out into a twin size bed. Bringing a baby? A Pack'n'Play (playpen) may be available if needed, just ask!

▪︎The convenient ensuite bathroom has a large shower (one at a time please ;) ...).

▪︎The kitchen & living area are bright, open & combined, with amazing views of the Bateau Channel.

▪︎A 2nd entry with sliding doors to the wraparound deck is perfect with the BBQ (propane provided) for outdoor dining at the table. This deck also offers Muskoka chairs & lounge seating so you can sip a glass of wine while enjoying a spectacular view of the river!

▪︎We provide bedding & linens, towels, dishes/kitchenware, TP & basic toiletries, propane & firewood. We do not supply or have paper towels.

▪︎Includes Wi•Fi! (NEW!)

■If you plan on doing some fishing here during your stay, you need to have a valid fishing license (can be purchased inexpensively online for weekly use) & your own equipment (rod, lures, worms, etc.).

☆This suite is located above a kitchen/2 bathrooms with bedrooms located outside. Noise transfer may occur. These spaces have no connection to each other & cannot be accessed from inside.

▪︎Off-grid experience! (Solar/wind energy provide the electrical comforts of home.) Brief power outages are part of the experience ;) so please keep lights & fans off when not needed.

We have 2 super friendly (off-leash) big dogs. As we live next door, they will more than likely visit at some point during your stay. Guests who are afraid of dogs should not attend the cottage.

○Due to this recent pandemic, we have taken extra precautions to ensure our guests' stays are safe & healthy. We've hired additional cleaning staff to not only turnover our spaces, but to also sanitize frequently touched spots & kill bacteria in the air. We've allowed for a day between reservations for this to happen.

☆Located on an island serviced by two ferries, Hideout is just minutes from beautiful Gananoque (the "Gateway to the 1000 Islands"). Local attractions include the renown 1000 Islands Playhouse, the Gan Brewing Company, the 1000 Islands History Museum, the Joel Stone Heritage Park with public playground, splash pad & sandy beach, the Marble Rock Conservation Area, the 1000 Islands Boat Museum, 2 or 4 hour cruises on the Gananoque Boat Line, numerous galleries, helicopter tours, kayaking day trips, & so much more. Join us for lunch at one of our favourite waterfront restaurants, featuring live music on the patio! There are several family/group friendly activities available. ■□■We require a 500 dollar cash deposit the moment you step foot on our property. Upon checkout, we'll inspect for damages & extra cleaning (the space must be left as you found it - tidy). Broken glass, furniture, clogged septic pump from flushing anything other than human waste/toilet paper, ripped screens, bottle caps/cigarette butts on the ground, holes in walls, dirty dishes, excessive amounts of bugs inside due to leaving doors open, etc. requires extra cleaning costs & time that your deposit will cover. If the space/property is left in the same condition as you found it, all of the deposit will be returned upon checkout after we verify.■□■

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Courtney (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
