Located in a peaceful residential area of Garajau, yet within easy walking distance to all amenities - supermarkets, bakery, restaurants and bars, Villa Aquarela was totally refurbished to a very high standard in 2012. The end result is a stunning 3 bedroom villa, with 627 square metres on living space, beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

This detached Villa, occupies one of the finest ocean front positions, with sensational 180º far reaching views. With a private heated swimming pool, garden, sea view terraces, games room, newly fitted fitness room, air-conditioning in bedrooms and two wood burning fires for cooler winter evenings.

On the first floor is a bright, spacious open plan lounge, with leather sofas, flat screen television and wood burning fire. Adjacent to this is the dining area and fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry room. There is a additional sun-room with wood burner and surrounding views of the sea, pool and garden below. Patio doors from both lounges open onto the south facing terraces. Also on this level are two of the bedrooms, a twin with separate shower room and the Master Double Bedroom with en-suite bathroom and sea view balcony.

On the lower level is the third double bedroom with en-suite shower room and direct access to the terrace, patios and swimming pool. All bedrooms have individually controlled air conditioning units.

The very large lower floor are provides a playstation 4 corener with flat screen monitor, a pool table, ping pong table and table football - so plenty to keep the children (and adults) amused at any time of the day!

The new fitness room features a multifunction fitness machine, eleiptical cross-trainer, bicycle, wights and yoga mats, has the paricular benefit of direct sea-view.

There is plenty of outdoor space with a variety of patios for you to relax and enjoy your days in the sunshine. There is a large wooden dining table and chairs by the built in barbecue, and just below, perched above the sea cliff, is the swimming pool, sun loungers and shower and tropical garden, all with 180º views of the ocean.

Pool heating is optional and costs 140,00€ per week for a setting of 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival. A supplement of 30,00€ per week applies for each additional degree set up to a maximum of 26ºC

Pool heating should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

The location of the villa is peaceful and private, yet with the benefits of having everything on your door step. You can take the local pathways down to the headland where you have the 'Cristo Rei' - Statue of Christ, and below it the pebble beach of Garajau, which is accessed by cable car and offers sea bathing, changing rooms and a lovely sea front bar and restaurant. Just a few minutes' walk is the bus stop with a regular service to the capital Funchal, only 10 minutes away. The Palheiro Golf Course is also close by, just 10 minutes by car.

The villa has secure electronic gated parking and free Wi-Fi.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
