Knocking on Heaven's Door is a 4 bedroom cabin located on Ski Mountain’s Chalet Village area, with beautiful mountain views. Unlike resort or communities, our cabin offers great privacy near a dead end street and a back yard for kids to enjoy. A circular, level driveway to easily accommodate up to five vehicles, as opposed to the many steep driveways in the area that can barely accommodate 2 vehicles.

Excellent location, just 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, 4 miles from Ober Gatlinburg and 9 miles from Dollywood.

Newly constructed August 2017, Knocking on Heaven's Door has all the amenities you desire. The cabin comfortably sleeps 10, with four fully furnished bedrooms with king beds in three of the rooms and 2 queen beds in the fourth bedroom. All 4 bedrooms have 43" Roku smart TV's. Challenge family and friends to a friendly game of pool in the game room, enjoy a movie on the 65" smart TV in the theater room or unwind in the hot tub or deck furniture while taking in the natural surroundings and breathtaking mountain views. AT&T 1GB fiber high speed Internet access as well as Roku TV's including HBO Max, Disney Plus, HULU and ESPN Plus.

Knocking on Heaven's Door has 3 spacious decks to enjoy the peaceful mountain views and maybe have a glimpse of the deer, bears, turkeys and other animals from the nearby Smoky Mountain National Park. Guests also have access to 3 community club houses in Chalet Village that offer swimming pools, tennis courts, workout room, bathroom and changing facilities, indoor game rooms, snack and drink machines and ample free parking. The Gatlinburg Trolley Station with parking is down the road and available for car-free shopping, dining, and entertainment in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It also goes into the park for hiking on a paved trail to Laurel Falls and to the Visitor Center. If you like to explore on foot, the park offers everything from short nature trails to longer back country hikes. The park is filled with trails, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Horseback riding and trout fishing are also favorite outdoor activities in the Smoky Mountains.

If you are looking for a place that gives the feeling of seclusion, but offers an abundance of activities, then this is the place.

1. What Linens are included? – We provide linens for beds, bath towels, and wash cloths.

2. What household supplies are provided? – We get you started with a small shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion and 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, as well as a roll of paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, kitchen trash bags and laundry detergent bag. Please note that this is a standard starter pack and guests will have to provide anything beyond this, should these items run out, as stay durations do vary.

3. What does the kitchen include? –The kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus a blender, toaster, slow cooker, various size pots & pans, wine glasses, a Keurig, and a regular coffee pot.

4. Do you provide a grill? – Yes! And it is charcoal.

5. Do you provide firewood? – No, be sure to pick up some up, as well as starter logs at the grocery store or gas station on your way in.

6. Do you allow pets? – NO. Under no circumstances do we allow pets.

7. Is the hot tub cleaned after every stay? – Yes! Our hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay.

8. Is there a community club house and pool area? – Yes, in Chalet Village, we have 3 community pools and clubhouses, opened from Memorial Day Weekend in May through Labor Day Weekend in September.

9. What time is check-in and check-out? – You may check in any time after 4pm and you must checkout prior to 10am on the day of your departure.

10. Do you provide travel insurance? - If cancellation is a concern, we do recommend the purchase of Cancellation Protection from CSA (this does not go through us).

11. Can I cancel if the weather is bad? – Cancellations due to weather will not be refunded.

13. What TV package / channels do you provide? – Roku TV's in each bedroom, living room and game room, along with HBO Max, Disney Plus, HULU and ESPN Plus streaming services are provided.(Bring your own streaming service passwords to watch on Roku).

14. What type of internet to you provide? – AT&T 1GB Fiber

Why can't I call Vivian (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Vivian (the owner) a message.

If Vivian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
