Normandy Gite Holidays is a former stone and earth barn converted in August 2015 into a contemporary, well equipped and very spacious holiday home. The original beams have been left exposed and contrast with the clean lines and light, airy space. The original barn doors have been replaced with a wall of glass allowing natural light to flood into the large entrance foyer. To one side of the foyer is the lounge with a door leading out onto the patio and garden. Relax with a book from the bookshelves, watch English or French TV or simply chat to friends or family. On the opposite side of the foyer is the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area seats 6 people comfortably. This is a very sociable space for entertaining friends and family. A downstairs utility room completes the downstairs. Upstairs, a generous and relaxing master bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite shower room awaits. Two further bedrooms which can either be twins or superkings, share a tastefully decorated shower room to provide you with complete flexibility. Central heating throughout the gite and a woodburning stove in the lounge ensure it is available all year round.

Gavray provides the ideal base to explore the many delights Normandy has to offer being equidistant from Granville, Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poeles. It is just a couple of minutes drive away but you'll find everything you need - a local market, supermarket and 3 boulangeries for delicious bread, pastries, cakes and sandwiches. You'll also find a number of bars and restaurants where you can grab a coffee or spend more time relaxing over a meal.

Nearby are beautiful beaches, opportunities to cycle, walk or horseride, the Abbey at Hambye, the Christian Dior museum, a zoo, gardens, churches and cathedrals, markets selling local produce, historical buildings and much much more.

Further afield are the large towns of Cherbourg, St Lo and Caen. Mont St Michel, Bayeux and the D Day landing beaches are also ideal for day trips and will take around 45 - 90 minutes to reach.

If you require suggested itineraries, restaurant reservations making or general advice with anything in the gite, help is at hand across the courtyard in the main house. However, the gite is totally separate and guests' privacy is respected at all times.

A deposit of 25% is required to secure your reservation. A Taxe de Séjour (70 centimes per adult per night) is collected on behalf of the Tourist Office. The gite received a 3 star rating from Manche Tourisme in October 2018.

    How do damage deposits work?
