Description from owner

The Villa is perched gracefully on a gentle hillside with sweeping panoramic views overlooking Gennadi Bay, arguably the most scenic bay in Rhodes, proudly holding a blue flag award.
It's 0.5Km away from Gennadi sea front which has good quality traditional tavernas, ideal for a tasty local meal or a refreshing drink. Gennadi village is 0.5Km away providing excellent eateries, we recommend 'Mama's Kitchen' with it's fresh local fayre, attractive garden and friendly staff! There is also a small supermarket, traditional bakery with fresh product daily, pharmacy and greengrocers. It is possible to walk to both seafront and village, but a car is recommended due to the climate!
Lindos with it's Ancient Acropolis and charming cobbled white washed streets is an experience not to be missed! With a white sandy bay and many delightful bars and taverns to choose from, it is well worth a visit.
Kiotari is 7 minutes away to the North with lovely sandy beaches, glass-bottomed boats and 'chill-out' bars.
Prasonissi is 20 minutes away to the Southern most tip of the Island, this is where two seas meet and is a fantastic location for watersports!
The jewel in the crown has to be the Old Town of Rhodes which is 45 minutes to the North. A medieval walled town being arguably the best preserved in Europe and is Nesco protected. The town is bursting with differing cultural influences from Ancient Greek civilization through to Byzantine, Christian- The Knights of St John, Turkish and Venetian to name a few. The pretty cobbled streets offer an eclectic mix of tavernas, bars, interesting shops (selling everything from unique jewellery to leather shoes and goods) and historical buildings/monuments.

Very Good

“Lovely Villa, Great views & perfect outdoor & pool area”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2019

Just home after two very peaceful, relaxing weeks in Villa Phoebe @ Pine View Villas. The villa we used in one of four each with there own private pool and outdoors space, no isolated but very private. The villa has every modern amenity (air con, dishwasher etc) and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed several BBQ evenings whilst taking in the sea view and distance view of Lindos. Close to the villa is Gennadi village - it doesn't get more Greek than this, great local shops and restaurants. Alan, the pool and DIY person popped around a couple of time per week and was very friendly and helpful, especially with his knowledge of the local area. A car is essential as the villa is some way of the main road (1km aprox). Joy was also very helpful in supporting our booking. Highly recommended.

Response from the owner Thank you for leaving this lovely review and we are so pleased that you had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Villa Sophie. It will always be a pleasure to hear from you at anytime in the future if you fancy a get away! Kind regards, Joy and Kostas.

“Relaxing stay with great views”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2015

Villa Sophie in Gennadi is in a great location if you want peace and quiet and to get away from it all. Facilities are spot on, pool is fab and air con to keep you cool in the high temperatures during July! Joy the owner was extremely helpful from booking the villa, providing tons of info on places to visit, restaurants to eat in and also helping to book a car. Everything went very smoothly. Joy also emailed during our stay with further recommendations or just to see how we were getting on. People are very friendly in the village of Gennadi, food is great. The beach is a 5 min drive and you could literally be the only person there depending on what part you went to! I would recommend a car, the villa is in off the road and to walk from the village to the villa would be a bit long especially in the very warm temps in the summer, if you wanted to be within walking distance of the eateries then this may not suit you. Overall we had a great time!

Response from the owner Thank you for your lovely comments. It will always be a pleasure to have you as our guests. Kind regards, Joy.

“great vacation!”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2014

We stayed in 2 units (phoebe & nicole). The units have all equipment you need for family with small children (dish washer, baby bed, baby chair, washing machine). The units were clean and in good condition. The pool is great and also the porch and the view is perfect (sea...) The units located up the hill isolated from other houses which allow us to have any mood we want, from totally silence to full volume music. Joy was on line for our request and also the handyman. The village Genady is 1 minute from the units, there you can find bakery, super and fruit/ veg store. Also in the village there are good restaurants (Nikos & Pamya was the best). we enjoyed all 7 nights, wish we could stay more..

Response from the owner Thank you for sending in your lovely review. You will always be welcome guests in the villas! Kind regards, Joy.

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sophie, and our contact with Joy by email and Costas in person. After 3 hectic weeks of travelling the villa was a haven. Gennadi is a lovely town, and the villa is well-located for exploration of the whole island. Our initial difficulty finding the villa and getting the key to work have probably already been fixed by updating instructions for future tenants.

Response from the owner Thank you for this Karen and Pat. Any time that you are in Southern Europe, please contact us, it would be lovely to hear from you. We've put a larger sign on the main road! Kind regards, Joy.

“Peaceful, private beautiful retreat”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2013

We've just returned from a fabulous holiday at this villa. The villa is set back from the main road, far enough to enjoy the stunning views of the sea and mountains, great views from the balcony too, fantastic for star gazing! We found a hire car was neccessary to get the best from the holiday. The pool was a good size and kept v.clean, sunbeds v comfy which was important as this is where we spent most of the day! We also enjoyed a nice BBQ at the villa. The villa itself was clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and sofa, the kitchen was well equipped. Felt very cosy there! The area was traditionally greek not 'touristy' at all. Gennadi village has everything you need and the people are so friendly. The local beach was just breathtaking, pebbles are the new sand! It was deserted, clean with the clearest sea! There are so many pretty little tavernas to discover and enjoy all close by. As a young couple we wanted a bit of nightlife so Lindos( 20 min drive from the villa) was a perfect magical setting with bars( open late for dancing!) roof top restaurants and shops. A visit to Rhodes town is a must! ( 1 hr drive), steeped in history and comes to life as night falls! The owners of the villa were so helpful and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. Best holiday to date, thanks to them!

Response from the owner Hi Dulcie and Will, Thank you for this, it is a very uplifting review and so helpful to other potential holiday makers. Hope all is well. Kind regards, Joy and Kostas xx
