Acorns Rest is a modern, recently renovated, self-catering guest cottage situated in a quiet residential suburb in George, along the Garden Route.

It offers 2 bedrooms, one full bathroom, an open-plan lounge/dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and a private garden. It can accommodate up to 4 guests. Bedroom 1 can accommodate a King size bed or 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 usually has 1 single bed, but can accommodate another single bed right next to it, when required. Both bedrooms boast luxurious cotton percale bedding, air-conditioning and built-in cupboards. Light-blocking blinds or curtains in all rooms for great sleep at night. The bathroom has a full bath and separate shower. Towels, toilet paper and basic toiletries are provided. Sturdy handrails at the toilet, shower and bath. The modern kitchen is fully-equipped, including fridge with freezer, microwave, stove-top, coffee/tea station, cutlery, crockery, pots etc. Also equipped with a washing machine and ironing facilities. The living room has a TV, selected dstv channels, a dvd player and air-conditioning. The cottage is very secure, and all windows and doors have burglar bars or security gates. There is a safe in the main bedroom for storage of valuables.

At 70 square meters, Acorns Rest is a spacious, stand-alone garden cottage, separate from the main house. The driveway is shared with the owner. We offer fast free wi-fi and there is secure off-street parking at the cottage entrance. Barbecue facilities are available upon request. We have a family dog, who will not come into the cottage. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the property. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate same day bookings or children under the age of 5 years.

There are 2 major shopping centers, also offering breakfast options, within 5 minutes walking distance from the cottage. The large, private garden and close proximity to everything George has to offer makes Acorns Rest ideal for short or longer stays along the Garden Route.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christene (the owner) a message.

If Christene (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
