GEORGEHAM WHITEHAVEN OVERVIEW

A beautifully presented country cottage in the historic village of Georgeham. A picture postcard property set amongst beautiful countryside with gorgeous rural views. Highlights of the cottage include the bright open sunny feel, elevated views, front and rear gardens, a summer house, beautiful quality country kitchen, a modern bathroom with underfloor heating and inclusive WiFi internet access.

Georgeham is central to many beaches, the closest being dog-friendly Putsborough beach, then Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe. Numerous tourist attractions are within easy access and you are spoilt with stunning countryside all around. The picturesque village of Georgeham also offers two good public houses, a church and post office/stores. Staying in an area of outstanding natural beauty, you will be close to miles and miles of golden sand, amazing surf, stunning views and coastal paths to name but a few.

LIVING AREAS

The welcoming lounge has comfy seating and French doors leading out to the rear garden, a real suntrap, with wonderful views of the fields beyond.

Comfortable sofas seat 6 people in front of the inglenook fireplace with wood burner, log supply and fireguard.

Home entertainment includes a flatscreen TV with BT TV, WiFi internet access, a DVD player with DVDs, books, games and children's toys.

NB – Dogs welcome but should remain downstairs. Please do not allow dogs on the furniture.

KITCHEN

A stunning country kitchen with slate worktops and butler sink. Cooking will be a pleasure with the large Rangemaster cooker, gas hob and plenty of worktop and cupboard space. There is dining area in the kitchen with an extendable dining table seating 8 people, completing this lovely sociable kitchen. Two high chairs are provided.

Other kitchen appliances include a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, as well an an excellent supply of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils.

A useful cloakroom and utility room are found just off the kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

BEDROOMS

A beautiful large window leads you upstairs with glorious countryside views. The bedrooms and family bathroom are found upstairs. All bedrooms are light and airy with quality mattresses and bed linen.

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with king sized bed. Furniture includes built-in wardrobes and a chest of drawers. This room has elevated views over the village and the unspoilt countryside beyond.

Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with king-sized bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, and the same lovely views.

Bedroom 3: Bunk bedroom with two adult-sized bunk beds sleeping 4 people in total, with a chest of drawers.

Two travel cots are provided.

BATHROOM

A beautiful family bathroom with underfloor heating and finished to the highest standard. There is a large corner shower with waterfall shower head and hand shower, a roll-top bath with hand held shower, a large hand basin and WC.

Bath towels are provided.

There is a toilet with WC and basin downstairs.

OUTDOORS

GEORGEHAM WHITEHAVEN has both front and rear gardens. The well kept front garden is a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by - with patio, lawn and a built in bench.

The enclosed rear garden has lawn and patio areas. Sit and relax at the outside table and chairs with gas BBQ. A lovely place to spend the day, the rear garden is not overlooked and has wonderful open countryside views. The summer house stores sun loungers and a parasol and is a great place to store bikes and surf gear and there is a hot outdoor shower ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach and for cleaning muddy paws before going inside.

There is parking for 2 cars on the driveway. Should you need extra parking the village car park is just a 2 minute walk away.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
