Serenity, now! ... No, it's not the marketing battle-cry of a Buddhist Monastery tucked away in Tibet, but it's more of a promise we like to make. And with good cause, too! ;) They say that seeing is believing. We also like to add 'Feeling' to that caveat. Set on 2500 sq metres of Land, Razzett Dhyana is a 350 year old farmhouse, that has been lovingly restored and extended over the years, reataining all its original character, with a good deal more thrown in for good measure. Gozo is the sister island of Malta, an island oasis of tranquility where even the Maltese like to 'get away from it all', for a weekend or week's break, and even longer. Greener, hillier and far more rural than the Maltese mainland, Gozo is renowned for its beautiful coastline, sea, countryside and unique diving spots. Gozo is also a goldmine of history and culture that belies its size, and a treasure trove of all that comes to mind when one thinks "Authentic Mediterranean". Gozitan villags are known to be havens of peace and quiet all year round. The village of Ghasri, outside of which Razzett Dhyana lies, is the smallest village in the Maltese islands, synonymous with rustic charm and natural calm beauty. The farmhouse just outside the little village, on the rise of a valley, a panoramic sanctuary in the open country, which even the residents of Ghasri themselves consider to be ' pretty peaceful and quiet'!.
Set in the midst of all is, the farmhouse has been divided into two distinct units. The rented part of the property is downstairs mainly with its own separate entrance, that opens onto a large arched living room which can also double up as a second bedroom with fold-out bed, a double bedroom, a very large bathroom with a sunken bath, and a large fully-equipped kitchen/dining; Outside you have a hammock area, an area with sun loungers and a BBQ with plenty of outdoor eating areas. Sheets, linen and towels are provided and maid service is included for stays of one week and over (Once weekly).
Although not essential, having a car in Gozo is advisable. Private parking is available at no charge for guests. Alternatively, the new (ish) public transport system is quite efficient and regular, whereas the more adventurous are also known to hike and walk as well as rent out bicycles. Many of Gozo's natural and other attractions are well-within easy reach, some only as far as a leisurely 25 minute walk (but NOT in the summer noontime sun!).
And in the truest tradition of hospitality that these islands are so renowned for, we look forward to welcoming you warmly at Razzett Dhyana. See you soon!
