We would like to welcome you to Sahara Sands private holiday rental.

We are situated in the more serine location of the island, just 700 meters north of the harbor and around 70 meters up the pretty Lane Kelapa. yet we are still close to all amenities such as shops and restaurants.

Our location boasts the best snorkeling area on the island of Gili T. just a 3 minute walk down our lane ... Sahara Sands friendly staff will help you with snorkeling equipment rental, island hopping trips or diving excursions.

Sahara Sands consists of a 2 story beach house, which has 2 double bedrooms, with en suite bathrooms, full kitchen and lounging areas ( accommodates up to 4 guests). .. we also have just completed a new Deluxe Double room, neatly separated from the beach house (accommodates up to 2 guests).

Bedrooms throughout have double size beds, reading lamps, air conditioning, fans and en suite bathrooms: fresh hot showers and modern amenities.

Kitchen is equipped with full size fridge, gas stove cooking, blender, toaster and crockery.

Breakfast bar dining, room rate includes hot breakfast cooked by our staff each morning, for you to enjoy on the terrace.

Beach house has spacious open terraces for lounging and relaxing with friends, we also have a private chill area upstairs for you to really get away from it all.

We actually found this place accidentally while looking trying to get away from the crush of the port area.

While humping our packs down a back lane we ran into Helena (the owner) who promptly showed us the villa.

We could not have found a better place to stay not only because it's a comfortable place to stay but we had the pleasure of having Helena and Shinta give us all of the inside knowledge on what to do on the island.

The three days spent at Sarah Sands were magical, being looked after by Shinta was an absolute priceless luxury. From fresh cooked breakfast every morning to the best price for everything thanks to local knowledge.

We would come back in a heart beat.

Great people made the lodgings even better.

Use a pushbike or walk... best on the island with no cars or motorbikes!

The Neighborhood

We are just far away enough from anything noisy.. we do have pretty Marigio resort on our east side and a local fishing family on our west side... the best of both worlds.

Getting Around

Pushbikes are definitely the best way to get around the island... no cars no bikes no dogs! Gili T style.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Helena (the owner) a message.

If Helena (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
