The River House - Gipsy Point, is a beautiful secluded property nestled in pristine bush right on the Genoa River. The River House - Gipsy Point is only a 20min drive from the sleepy town of Mallacoota. Croajingolong National Park abuts the property and so this unique location lends itself to a total relaxing holiday retreat.

The River House - Gipsy Point offers an unparalleled opportunity to escape the daily grind and immerse yourself in a natural wonderland.

On the other hand, if fishing is your passion, then The River House - Gipsy Point should be considered. Fish directly from the private jetty or as a launch pad to discover the many inlets and bays right on your doorstep. This wonderful asset allows up to 3 big boats to be safely moored.

But rest assured, getting away from it all doesn’t mean a lack of amenities. The River House - Gipsy Point is equipped with a gourmet kitchen and a large open plan dining lounge area. 3 good sized bedrooms all with gorgeous views to the river beyond, as well as 2 bathrooms to accommodate 10 people in a relaxed and homely environment.

The large recently installed gourmet kitchen, is equipped with an electric oven and gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge plus small appliances such as toaster, kettle and the all important, coffee machine. The extensive pantry is stocked with a huge range of herbs and spices, condiments, sauces, oils, teas, coffee and general kitchen consumables from foil to paper towel. Masses of utensils, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery…The River House - Gipsy Point has the lot to cook up a storm. The full width kitchen servery window means you can easily connect and entertain together.

The beautiful and expansive open plan dining and lounge area is the hub of the home. Leather couches, slow combustion stove, slate floor, cushions and wood touches evoke a rustic vibe. The full bookshelf naturally has loads of books, plus cd player and radio plus oodles of board games and puzzles. Relax by the fire in the company of family or friends. Please note there is no TV or Wifi. The long wooden central dining table offers a place for mealtime conversation and enjoyment.

Each of the 3 large carpeted bedrooms, face the river and have a large panoramic window each. Imagine waking up to tranquil bush sounds and stunning views. All new and freshly laundered bed linen, including pillows and slips, doonas and covers, fitted and flat sheets is supplied. For your comfort all mattresses and pillows are fitted with protectors. We also supply bath towels, face washes and hand towels for guest use.

The bunk bedroom at the kitchen end of the house is equipped with 2 sets of single built-in bunks and a double bed and so accommodates up to 6 guests. It has a built-in wardrobe stocked with ample extra blankets which you are welcome to use. This room would suit children young and old.

The other 2 bedrooms located at the other end of the house beyond the lounge, have quality queen beds and both have large built-in wardrobes. These large rooms come with bedside tables and lamps to you can cosy up with a good book.

2 bathrooms service the property. One is located near the front entrance and bunk room and has a separate toilet, shower and vanity. The second bathroom is located near the queen bedrooms and is also equipped with shower, vanity and separate toilet. A laundry with washing machine and dryer plus tub is just next door.

Everything has been thought of indoors but enjoyment of the great outdoors at The River House - Gipsy Point has also been well considered and is an important aspect of the property.

A huge outdoor deck area under a canopy of tall native trees, offers plenty of space to stretch out and breathe in the stunning surrounds. It’s a place for eating, entertaining and relaxing. A full width timber surround bench, table and chairs, directors chairs and outdoor lounge accommodates all guests in this natural bush theatre setting.

Did we mention the outdoor wood fired pizza oven? This unique hand constructed oven, has been the focal point for guests over many years and is the ultimate outdoor cooking experience. Aside from delicious pizzas, breads and baked goods, you can cook roasts, one pot dinners, maybe some local fish, in fact practically any food tastes amazing in the pizza oven. All wood is supplied, as well as instruction to use, plus cooking recipes and tips are on hand.

A large steel fire pit can be used for more than just toasting marshmallows. A steel post supports a BBQ plate/grill, frying pan and hooks for pot roasters. Plenty of wood is supplied to ensure you enjoyment of this special property amenity.

What else can you expect at The River House - Gipsy Point? An outdoor, yet private shower is an experience most guests love to enjoy. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
