Waterfall View overlooks Loch Pooltiel with views of the rural countryside and the Outer Hebrides. The cottage provides the ideal retreat for relaxing and watching the ever changing vistas and is a super base for touring this mystical and historic island. Take a visit to Dunvegan Castle (the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland and seat of the Clan MacLeod) and a boat trip to see the seals basking on the rocks in Loch Dunvegan.
Boat trips include a sea trip from Portree to see the varied sea and bird life including the sea eagles, glass-bottomed boat trips and a ferry trip to the Outer Isles of Lewis, Harris and Uist. No visit to the Isle of Skye is complete without a trip on the Bella Jane from Elgol to Scotland's most isolated Loch Coruisk.
The island boasts some wonderful restaurants, the world famous 'Three Chimneys' is a short drive from the cottage. There are many other restaurants/cafes around the island. Cafe Lephin at Glendale is great for coffee and cakes/light lunches.
Places to walk include: Ramasaig Cliffs, Neist Point, Dunvegan Woods, Waterstein, Hamara River and MacLeods tables.
