DUNTRODDEN HOUSE is situated in a beautiful remote location in Glenbeag, next to the Pictish Brochs, tall stone towers that date from 2000 years ago.

The house was built using native timber with a grass roof, it sleeps 9, with 2 double bedrooms, a triple bunk and a double bunk. We grow organic salads, fruit and vegetables and sell fine organic beer from our microbrewery, and occasionally run pizza & beer events. We are engaged in a number of projects, including the creation of 35ha of native woodland and the repair and rebuilding of dry-stone walls and stone buildings.

The location is perfect for those that seek spending time outdoors, and there are loads of charming places up and down the glen where you can enjoy a variety of alfresco activities. We are very close to the fantastic hills of Kintail and some of the best walks around Glenelg are easily accessed from our doorstep, plus there is always a good chance of sightseeing some rare land and marine wildlife and many swimming spots by secluded rivers yet to be discovered.

Equally, the house is very comfortable and well equipped for times when the classic Scottish rain makes its appearance.

In addition to the house amenities, there is a EV charge point outside the house, which our guests with electric vehicles are welcome to use.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ana (the owner) a message.

If Ana (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
