FYI: Owners travel a lot, but are sometimes in the area, so there is a chance that if you are renting while they are in town that they might be on the property (11 acres, so lots of room) in a separate private fenced off area on the land, or in private back room apartment with seperate entrance that's not part of the guest rentals. They totally respect renters privacy and you would have the house to yourselves at all time. When in town the Owner Kim is a great hostess, there when you need her to help in any way, but out of sight the rest of the time. She has been in the Travel Business for 25 years and last year worked at another bnb listing on the 80' Yacht Barkissimo B & B in Emeryville, CA (& highly recommends if your in the area, please tell them Kim from CO sent you!) in the San Fran Bay Area where her family also has a Sailboat which she enjoys spending extended time on. She knows hospitality and enjoys treating her guests very well! :) **Note: Pets are considered for an extra fee.
Guest Access
The entire Ranch House (except the garage & a back room apartment that is locked off from the main Ranch House). All of the outside surrounding property 11 acres (- a small fenced off living area for Ranch staff/family who may or may not be on property at time of guests visit). Guests are free to roam on the land (8 horses are also on the land). Guests are welcome to interact with them and horseback riding can be arranged w/advanced notice and for an extra fee.
Interaction with Guests
The Owner (or her assigned staff person if she's out of town) will do a personal "Meet & Greet" and house walk through with all Guests.
Staff (usually a family member) may be on property in a separate fenced off living area on the land. If not, Owner is always reachable. However, our Guests privacy is of utmost importance, we're here if you need us, otherwise after your "Meet and Greet" you are left to enjoy your privacy and our lovely space!
The Neighborhood
It is so quiet up here in our Canyon! The air is so clear and clean, we're at 8000'. All the surrounding homes are on acreage, so houses are not top close to each other, allowing lots of breathing room, without a neighbor on top of you!
Hiking and fishing are within a 5 minute car ride. We are in old growth forest, with lots of pine and aspen trees (which are all aglow in Fall)!
The stars are so wonderful up here, you can often see the Milky Way (especially in Winter).
Lots of wildlife up here too, dears, fox, coyotes, lots of birds, squirrels, and chipmunks are all some of the wildlife you might see while visiting.
Getting around
Having your own car is best to get to us. There is some public transportation through RTD, but service is limited, since we're up here in the Mountains. Super Shuttle will come up here from the Airport as well. We have a large over sized paved circular parking lot, so plenty of room for cars here for large groups.
Other Things to Note
We love our furry friends and Pets are welcome for an extra fee, $100 per pet. If you have an animal/s please contact the Owner for approval and total fees, which will vary based on the animal/s.
