Enjoy a unique Bed and Breakfast experience in Casa de la Plaza, a beautifully restored 100 year old house. Safe, quiet and yet only 3 blocks from Granada's famed Central Square and the dining and entertainment area of La Calzada.
Originally a barrack for soldiers, due to its commanding corner position, the house features 2 guest bedrooms with individual bathrooms containing hot water showers and ceramic tile sinks. Both rooms are equipped with air conditioning (nominal surcharge should you wish to use) along with ceiling fans. Cross breezes, however, are excellent due to the house's elevated position.
In the morning you can enjoy a relaxing hot or cold breakfast in the intimate courtyard surrounded by a wide variety of flowers and a sparkling cascading water feature. The house is adorned with traditional Nicaraguan art and the tiled floors along with the wood fixtures make for a cool atmosphere even on the hottest days.
The Xalteva Balcony Suite is the larger of the 2 rooms and has an L shaped private terrace where you can sit and enjoy morning coffee or a pre-dinner cocktail whilst taking in the wonderful view of the Mombacho volcano.
The Plaza Room is the smaller of the 2 rooms and has two twin beds that can be turned into a king. It has a semi-private full bathroom and all the same amenities as the Xalteva Suite except there is no balcony. The cost for the Plaza Room is $35 per night. When booking please specify which room you would like.
Each room has a personal safe for your valuables.
Complementary wi-fi is available throughout the house and laundry facilities are on site for your convenience.
Casa de la Plaza is located in Granada's historical district on a traffic free street adjacent to the magnificent Xalteva Church. Opposite the church is Parque Xalteva where you can enjoy the paved sidewalks, the shade afforded by the trees and the benches for sitting and reading.
