We are just a 5 minute walk down the block to the last natural beach in Grand Marais where one can take a beach chair down to the lake to enjoy the sand & sun during the day or the beauty of a sunset over Lake Winnipeg in the evening. One mile north, an easy 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive, Grand Beach Provincial Park welcomes you with all that the park has to offer - hiking/biking trails, fishing & world renowned sandy beaches. A complimentary provincial park pass is provided so guests can access Grand Beach Provincial Park at their leisure. Return to your private oasis to relax on your sundeck and restore after a hard day of beaching or exploring.

Your guest room accommodates a maximum of two adults in a private setting, with a large attached sundeck, propane BBQ and patio furniture. It is a separate building from the main house.Your private, air-conditioned guest room with a three piece ensuite (shower) is furnished with twin beds, bedside table, dresser, microwave oven, small fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, bottled drinking water cooler, dinette set for two, Premium Bell Express-View Satellite service (which includes HBO, Movie Network, Sports network & TSN), Flat screen TV, DVD player, FM clock radio with IPod dock.

All linens are provided. Beach towels & beach chairs included.

Clean dishes, cups, glasses & cutlery are supplied daily so no dishes to wash.

Use of the in-suite washer / dryer available for a nominal fee - washing & drying supplies are included in the fee.

Fresh linens & towels provided weekly for stays longer than 7 days. Light housekeeping available for a nominal fee.

A small, well behaved dog considered (less than 35 lbs) - the backyard is fully fenced and pet friendly. No weight restriction for a service animal. Guests are expected to clean up after their pet - scoop bags provided.

We are a 15 minute drive south on Highway 59 to the popular South Beach Casino and golfers can enjoy the championship links of the Grand Pines Golf course just a 20 minute drive north.

Once you get here most everything is within walking or biking distance but you will need a vehicle to access activities outside of the immediate area.

Interaction with guest

We live in the main house but are diligent in preserving your privacy during your stay. Our goal is to provide our guests with clean & comfortable accommodations in a relaxing environment. The deck, which connects both the main house & guest room, is your personal space used only by you during your stay. We are available to our guests at anytime to answer any questions or concerns that might arise. We will greet you on your arrival, give you a short orientation to your accommodation, hand over your keys & help you settle in if you need.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Fran (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
