Coconut Cabana is waterfront on White Sound, Green Turtle Cay in the Abaco Bahamas. The private house is surrounded by a screened porch that overlooks White Sound and The Bluff House Yacht Club. As a private part of a resort it has use of all the amenities of the resort with a pool side bar and restaurant nearby.

The designer decorated home has an open floor plan for easy entertaining inside or out with a fully equipped large country kitchen. The two identical master suites are tropically decorated with private baths and all linens are included.

We are property owners with an excellent hands on management team in place on Green Turtle Cay. Coconut Cabana representative will greet you the minute you step off the ferry boat, assist with your luggage and escort you to the house. They are on call by local cell phone or VHF radio (both provided) should you need assistance with anything. They also assist you with your departure. We send a "welcome information" package complete with an aerial photo of Green Turtle Cay, maps of the Island and New Plymouth along with details about the house when your booking is complete. When we know your arrival time, airport or mode of transportation we send detailed arrival instructions.

Dear Biggy Meows, Thank you for your thoughtful review. Green Turtle is a magical place. You are not alone feeling comfortable, relaxed and welcomed. The natives and second home owners have created a place that is hard to rival. In a nutshell, you decompress almost immediately and enter a different state of mind. They call it “Island Time”, Mon. Your comments on Coconut Cabanas pantry are important. We think that things like coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, detergents and soaps are important and should be on site for our guest’s arrival. We like to have our guests be comfortable right away. The more our guests leave in place or add to our pantry or sundries the more relaxing it is for our next guest. Our cleaning crew are instructed to not take anything but just to dispose of perishables. You mentioned the cuisine at the Bluff House. It certainly covers all your needs and any pallet. We also enjoy the white linen dinner service at the Green Turtle Club and their breakfasts and lunch entrees on the screened veranda hanging over White Sound. Brendal has taken out everybody from Jacque Cousteau to the Discovery Channel crew. His dive/snorkel/lunch on a deserted island trip has been enjoyed by more than a hundred thousand people over his 40 years career as a dive master. Dear Barbara, Glad you enjoyed your stay. Life on Green Turtle is certainly unique. Coconut Cabana is a result of being part of Bluff House Marina and Resort have all the amenities of a resort and the ambience of a quite peaceful island. Seeing more boats (lots more) than vehicles (mostly golf carts) is certainly different. The 3-mile road to town is currently being paved so trip will be faster in the future. The mattresses were replaced this year and are very comfortable memory foam. We also put in new microwave, new WIFI TV’s in bedrooms, new outdoor furniture, BBQ and completed the water line to the dock. When you come back you will see more enhancements. Coconut Cabana will always be improving as the alternative just doesn’t work. Thanks again. Eli and Di

Why can't I call Dianne (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dianne (the owner) a message.

If Dianne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
