We well know that when you book an accommodation there are many things that you would rather not deal; finding the property address, check in procedure, parking, whether you should bring toiletries, if shower is easy to use, if the heating is set up so on and so on.

In Medlar House, these issues are all taken care of. With no parking fees and plenty of space to park, with easy access to the main artillery roads within minutes, with an easy in and out of the town routes as well as being close to town that you can walk to, you will find that Medlar House offers that extra comfort that any travelling person would want to have.

Toiletries, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, cleaning cloths, dishwasher liquids and so much more are all provided for you to use.

Medlar House is a three bedroom, semi detached house with a large back and a front garden, it is a family friendly, welcoming place to stay. River is a few minutes’ walk away that can be a bliss in the summer times if you have young children to occupy. Guildford Spectrum, Lido are also within less than 20 minutes walk distance and again provides all the essential entertainment that a family on a holiday deserves. Guildford Spectrum is a large sports complex with many activities; from swimming to indoor skating, from playing squash to table tennis hosts many national or international sporting events. Stoke Park located opposite of Guildford Spectrum also hosts festivals, events, music gigs and outdoor sporting activities. In sizzling heat that we seem to be getting more and more in UK, Guildford Lido is an oasis to cool down.

Guildford is blessed with so many individual as well high end designer shops if you love shopping. With many eateries, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs you will be positively frustrated about which one to choose.

Medlar House accommodates four persons comfortably in one double, two single rooms. They are all located on the first floor with the bathroom. Everything is organised in the most simplistic way without so many dos and don’ts. Our aim is to let you settle in in the most straight forward way possible. The bathroom has a high power shower and easy to operate on a single push button, has a sink and a loo.

Downstairs consists of a living room with two sofas, a large TV, coffee table and a bookshelf stacked with many interesting books and magazines and games. Walls have original artworks which no doubt will add that extra magic into your stay. There is a entrance hall, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room overlooking the back garden.

Buses run every twenty minutes to the town and bus stops are around the corner. There is also a convenience store, a chemist, doctor’s surgery and takeaway shops; Chinese, fish and chips and Indian. The Red Rose restaurant is a must visit place if you love delicious Indian cuisine. You can also order online and your food will be delivered fast.

All communications are done through email or phone. Once the payment is secured, main contact guest will be sent a keycode a week before the arrival. As the owner of Medlar House, I do not interact with guests when they arrive but I am always available on the phone for questions or requests. You will find Medlar House very welcoming and if there are any issues either myself or my helper will be at your service.

Why can't I call Ayse (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ayse (the owner) a message.

If Ayse (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
