From the owner

The Old Stable is a charming cottage, orginally converted from a stable (hence the name!) in the tiny hamlet of Crackpot, sleeping 3, along with a travel cot for an infant. The Stable has a cosy living room with logburner (first basket of fuel included) and great views over nearby roofs looking down Swaledale. The cottage is accessed through the front door into the hall, from which the kitchen leads off, and then through to the living room. There is also a downstairs cloakroom and the cottage benefits from central heating.

The Old Stable is attractively decorated, well-equipped and ideal for walkers or just for relaxing. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom is a single, both with views towards hills and the dale. The upstairs shower room has a large shower enclosure.

The owners live next door and are happy to provide local information (such as good places to eat or walk). There are a variety of gardens in front of the cottage, with lovely views, and there is a private lawned garden for the use of Old Stable guests, although it's not totally enclosed, and reached by a path with a 3' drop to the side (no handrail).

One small to medium well-behaved dog is welcome, although due to the cottage being surrounded by livestock, and the garden not being totally enclosed, the owners request a dog be kept on a lead when outside. A lovely cottage in a rural position, with terrific views over Swaledale, perfect for a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales National Park! One small/medium dog welcome. Free wifi. Towels included. Sorry, no smoking.
