FAR AWAY FROM THE TREACHEROUS WORLD? Well, not exactly far away, but neatly hidden. Evo Wilderness Villa is the only property in its 1700 hectares forest area. Yes, you read correctly, 1700 hectares with no sign of neighbours around. 1-2 hours away from the population centre of Finland. Come and feel the Peace & Privacy in the wilderness, have a peaceful meeting, go fishing, hiking or trekking. Let the forest surprise and refresh you, be it summer or winter. Enjoy all the modern comforts of Evo Wilderness Villa near Evo’s famous hiking area.

Evo Wilderness Villa, an old times log cabin built originally for 12 lumberjacks in 1955, a place where the Finnish timbering culture lives strong. The building was home for many lumberjacks and workmates were the only family. The villa isn’t in the middle of nowhere but in the population centre of Finland, 150 kilometres from Helsinki, 100 kilometres from Tampere and 45 kilometres from Hämeenlinna.

Come to the old times atmospheric log house in the forest while still enjoying modern comforts such as water closets, air-conditioning, comfortable beds, modern kitchen, indoor and outdoor saunas, and hot tub. Experience the original atmosphere of the carefully renovated log house and the feel the harsh worksite of old times lumberjacks in your own Peace & Privacy.

Evo Wilderness Villa is located by a peaceful forest road, but still close to the services of the nationally famous Evo Hiking Area. There is a fishing area just a 10-minute walk away by the forest road or 5 minutes away by car. Evo Hiking Area offers a variety of services for hikers, fishers and anyone interested in nature. Also, there are several forgotten small lakes waiting to be found and explored within a kilometre radius.

The renovated, almost 200 m2, Evo Wilderness Villa has a dining and meeting area for up to 20 persons, 15 bed places, 5 bedrooms, a dressing room, showers, an indoor sauna, 2 bathrooms, and an atmospheric old times log-built outdoor sauna as a cherry on top. Together the two saunas will sit a total of 20 persons. In addition, there is 70 m2 worth of terraces with one right next to the main building sitting 15 persons and the other next to the outdoor sauna with enough space for 10 persons to cool off. Both have access to the hot tub in the forest garden via the duckboard.

DINING AND MEETING AREA: The renovated dining and meeting area now stands where once was the lumberjacks living and sleeping quarters. Now it has space for 15 persons around the four-meter-long robust wooden table. The same area can also be used as a bedroom thanks to the large corner couches which serve as 3 bed places. There is a free 4G access point and a 40” flat screen which works as a TV and a presentation screen. The area has a direct access to the terrace and forest garden where the outdoor sauna, lean-to and 2 hot tubs wait. In addition to campfires there is a hefty cast-iron coal-heated grill available as well.

ACCOMMODATION: There is a total of 15 bed places in 5 bedrooms. 4 bedrooms are on the second floor and one on the first floor. With some extra mattresses there is a total of 20 bed places.

KITCHEN: The modern kitchen has tableware for 20 persons, an electric stove and oven, 2 fridges, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Moccamaster, an electric kettle, and a toaster.

INDOOR SAUNA, SHOWERS AND BATHROOM FACILITIES: The indoor sauna sits 6-8 persons at once. There is a shower and an access to the dressing room. There is also a direct access to the terrace from the dressing room for cool offs. The villa has 2 bathrooms, one on each floor.

OUTDOOR SAUNA: There is an idyllic old times wood-heated sauna, built originally in 1955 from robust log material. The now renovated sauna has a dressing room and sits 10 persons at once.

LEAN-TO: The lean to is located in the forest garden in between the terrace and the outdoor sauna.

HOT TUBS: One hot tub is located next to the outdoor sauna on its own small terrace and the second hot tub is located next to the main buildings terrace.

FOREST GARDEN AND TERRACES: The terrace in the forest garden has cosy table groups for 20 persons. There is also a gas-heated grill and a hefty cast-iron coal-heated grill (we kindly ask to bring own charcoals for it).

HIKING TRAIL: Near the villa there is an outdoor route where you can take a small hike during low or non-snow season. A route map can be borrowed from the villa.
