Right on the most picturesque beach of Halki Island, Ftenagia beach, Cohili Villa is one of six beautiful traditional stone built villas. It is located on a lovely spot on the SE side of the island, right in front of the beach and just a few minutes walk to Nimborios (the island's main settlement and port).
The house is built using the region's local stone and according to the traditional architectural style of Halki Island. It has two bedrooms, an open plan lounge, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The large stone-paved verandas where one can spend endless hours admiring the boundless blue of the Aegean sea, make the stay in Cohili Villa an unforgettable one!
The beautiful Island of Halki, just off the west coast of Rhodes, provides the perfect location for a peaceful holiday away from it all. Nimborio is the only village on the island, as the ancient capital, Horio, was gradualy abandoned. Above Horio, there is a steep rock with a Medieval castle on top, offering the best view of the Aegean Sea. While visiting the island, take long walks and discover some of the more than 360 country chapels and the monastic complex of 'Ai Giannis of Alargas' (St. John) built in the early 19th century on a beautiful location. Halki island has many beautiful and crystal clear beaches all around - some accessible on foot and others with little caiques.
The paved seafront of Nimborio is 400 metres long and has a good selection of greek taverns, grill houses, bars and local coffee shops for all tastes. There are four supermarkets offering a good range of local products. The bakery is a popular stop for its delicious pastries and fresh bread. The three gift shops provide a good variety of local craft work, jewelery, clothing and more.
There is a post office but no bank. For access to cash, there is now an ATM. A few businesses do offer credit card facilities but most transactions are made in cash on the island.
