Description from owner
3 bedroomed holiday house in an excellent location within 200 yards of Harlyn Beach. Large secure garden. Each bedroom has 2 twin beds. 1 cot also available. Digital TV. Main sitting/dining room, kitchen, bathroom with bath with shower over and outside shower room. Kitchen has cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Electric storage heaters. Conservatory to rear. 3 miles to Padstow with its attractions, restaurants and shops. 1 mile to Trevose Golf Club. The new Pig at Harlyn Bay boutique hotel and restaurant is due to open in June 2020. Harlyn Bay is an excellent safe sandy beach for families but also has good surf in rougher conditions. Other excellent surfing beaches nearby. We have some flexibilty for changeover days but these would typically be Saturday out of peak season and Wednesday in peak season (to avoid the busy weekend traffic at that time) . Guests must bring their own sheets duvet covers and pillow slips and towels/ tea towels. Pets by arrangement only. Parking available to the front in private road with space for 3 cars. Wi-fi provided. New kitchen and bathroom completed December 2014. Post code PL28 8SD.

“Loved it! minutes from beach perfect garden for the dog.”
Absolutely loved the bungalow and Sandy Lane, 10 minutes drive from Padstow and a Tesco supermarket there, great places to eat at the Farmers Arms and the Cornish Arms as well as a good bakery etc in St Meryn just a few minutes drive away, we had wonderful cliff top walks, a thoroughly good place to stay.
“A vintage hideaway”
A perfect place to get away. Just steps away from the beautiful beach of Harlyn bay. Very dog friendly and so a perfect place for our first holiday with our rather nervous Greyhound. The house has a modern kitchen and bathroom but the rest of the property retains the charm of a bygone age with lots of original features. Plenty to do and see in Padstow and the surrounding villages. Don’t miss the Cherry tree cafe and the Ivy house hotel restaurant
“The perfect holiday stay for couples with or without children and their dog”
The location is excellent being only a few hundred yards from the most beautiful beach. An orderly and quiet little lane at the top of a short hill leading down to a nice beach hotel and shop. A mile and a half walk across the cliffs brings you to another beautiful beach at Trevone which is not dog friendly during the season whereas Harlyn Bay is. Trevone has a really nice, well stocked beach shop and coffee shop, Both beaches are life-guard controlled. Beautiful old house with good accommodation, always clean on arrival, and with a really nice big front lawn for a dog or children to play
“Christmas break at undertowan”
Very quaint house probably much nicer in the summer as very cold in December with storage heaters. Beautiful enclosed gardens for our dogs very clean and well equipped. 2 mins walk to the beautiful harlyn bay beach which we love.
Perfect for surfing. Just a shame about the surf forecast and al the storms, but can't be helped! Overall cosy stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Old fashioned but so charming!! Great private garden with loads of room for kids to play in safety. Short walk to beach and pub.
Beautiful location, lovely bungalow with enclosed garden for dog and easy access to fantastic beach. Would love to visit again.
“Perfect holiday rental excellent value for money.”
Undertowan is the perfect location. The bungalow is quirky but functional. Large bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. It was very clean and had a great garden for the dog. Even the outside loo and shower came in handy. Harlyn Bay is one of the best beaches in Cornwall and is only a couple of minutes walk from the bungalow. Would definitely book it again.
“Excellent location and value”
We had a wonderful week here in April 2013 - family of 4, aunt, grandmother and dog. Perfect location for beautiful Harlyn beach and easy drive, or stunning coastal walks, to other sandy beaches. Great surfing in the area for all levels. Just a 3 minute stroll along a footpath to the beach, so we could nip down at any time, right into the late evening. Enclosed garden for the dog. The house was perfect for us. The bedrooms and lounge were all well furnished and newly decorated. Stephen, the owner, did mention that the compact 70s kitchen and avocado bathroom suite were due for an imminent upgrade and also that the outdoor shower was really just for hosing down after the beach. I was glad we knew this before we went so that we did not have other expectations. Conservatory, accessed from outside, was toasty in the sun...and perfect for drying the wetsuits or to have a quiet read away from the kids. Fantastic value for money perfectly located for the beach. If you are looking for somewhere stylish this probably isn't the one for you but if you are looking for a cosy place with character by the beach without breaking the bank then you couldn't do better.
