From the owner

A well equipped self catering, detached stone cottage with ground floor kitchen/diner, cloakroom with washbasin and WC. The hallway leads to an upstairs double bedroom, bathroom and living room with beautiful views. Parking is available adjacent to the cottage. It is situated between Dacre and the Washburn Valley, an area designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty, in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. With lots of walks in the area this quiet and peaceful cottage is a short drive to Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, Ripon, Ilkley and Skipton. Short breaks are available for that long weekend when golf, fishing and cycling are popular pursuits and available. Arrival time is after 2.00 pm and by 10.00 am on day of departure.

We have a reasonable WiFi signal at the cottage but it can be spasmodic.

The cottage is not suitable for children or pets.

The holiday cottage is adjacent to New Close Farm and is a converted barn. On Google Maps enter New Close Farm for its exact position. The owners will be available on arrival to hand over the key and give a brief tour of the premises. Useful literature on the area is in the cottage but the owners are always available to give assistance.

Ideal for a base to explore the dales and Harrogate.

New Close cottage is in the tranquil area of Nidderdale. It is well equipped, comfortable, very clean and homely. Anne is an excellent host.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. Friendly owner who will do anything to make you feel at home. The cottage has all the utilities you wish for and was very clean.

Wonderful cottage

Why can't I call Anne (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anne (the owner) a message.

If Anne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
