Exceptionally well finished cottage (French Gite) with magnificent views in a tranquil location.

This newly renovated cottage, peacefully located in the countryside close to the tiny hamlet of Maumont, is less than a 10 minute drive to Hautefort with it's fairy tale chateau and the village with activities and amenities for all the family.

The property is situated on a secluded hilltop in 2 acres of mature gardens. Mirabelle gite has its own garden with shaded play area and a private decked sun terrace with BBQ and sun loungers. All Views look down onto the rolling hills of the Dordogne countryside.

The Gite consists of two bedrooms each with their own en-suite and toilet. The Kitchen is well equipped and adjoins a separate dining room. The lounge provides an area of relaxation for watching a film or just an afternoon snooze. The gite comes with its own washing machine and outside drying area. Linen and towels are included

Hautefort is 2 miles away, where one can find shops, brocantes, bars, restaurants, the museum of medicine and of course the fairytale Chateau de Hautefort with its spectacular gardens. There is also a well stocked supermarket and petrol station. The local area provides lots of activities ranging from canoeing down the local river, water skiing and wakeboarding, lake and river swimming, golfing, paintball, adventure high wire forest walks, rock face climbing and pot holing ..... to name just a few!.

The caves at Toutouraic approx 6 km away are a great place to visit on foot, by bicycle or by car.

The local area also has a good selection of restaurants and snack bars to meet most diets requirements.

Property Layout:

Ground floor: Two bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom / toilet ( one bedroom has the option of a double or two singles )

First floor: Lounge, Dining room and Kitchen.(Please note due to the terraced gardens surrounding the gite both upper and lower floors have patio doors onto the gardens

Outside: Two acres of spacious Gardens consisting of a shaded children's play area with badminton court, swings and table tennis. A decked sun terrace with sun loungers, dining table and barbeque. There are also the family pet goats who are always happy to say hello.

Please note the terraced gardens of Mirabelle Gite may not suitable for children under 5 years of age.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paul (the owner) a message.

If Paul (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
