Description

The "Cornish Gallery" comprises of very large lounge 10 mtrs by 3.5 mtrs with the walls adorned by the owners photographs taken around the world on their travels. Two five seater leather reclining settees are avaiable for your comfort along with two magnificent stone coffee tables. The Gallery is situated in the lovely Cornish creekside village of Gweek at the head of the beautiful "Helford River". The Helford River is probably the most beautiful in the West country and is famous for the novel "Frenchmans Creek" written by Daphne Du Maurier.

The village is very peaceful and with two rivers flowing into the creek is the home of Gweek Quay and Gweek boatyard famed for the building of traditional wooden Pilot Cutters. There are many interesting boats tied up and on the hard stand where craftsmen work on restoring these classics. Of course a village would not be complete without a local pub and ours is the great "Black Swan" where local beers and good food is served. The local shop

There are many interesting boats tied up and on the hard stand where craftsmen work on restoring these classics. Of course a village would not be complete without a local pub and ours is the great "Black Swan" where local beers and good food is served. The local shop supplies day to day groceries and also has a post office counter. At the end of the road is the National Seal Sanctuary where baby seals are nursed back to health. Other attractions are the penguins and other wildlife such as otters etc.

Back to the "Gallery" the property has a small but well fitted kitchen with oven and ceramic hob, microwave, kettle and toaster.

The ensuite bathroom has a luxurious 2 person steam shower with led lighting, foot massage and body jets along with a monsoon shower head.

Private parking space is available just outside the front door, From late July a new hot tub will be available at extra cost to cover heating, water, chemicals and upkeep.

The area is an AONB which means "Area of Outstanding Natural beauty" and is at the entrance to the Lizard Peninsular which is Britain's most southerly point. This is Poldark Country.!

The England region

The Cornish Gallery is part of Ash Tree Villa in the lovely Cornish village of Gweek on the Lizard peninsular. The village is set on the creek of the Helford River a beauty spot on the south of Cornwall close to Helston and Falmouth. The village has a get together on Wednesday evenings on the village green to enjoy fish and chips from Sid's mobile chip shop and a drink or two brought over from the Black Swan.
