The perfect place for a couple and perfectly placed to explore the beautiful county of Herefordshire and beyond. A superb detached (and very secluded) accessible, private holiday home. Over 45's preferred please.

The Piggery is a beautiful Grade II Listed, one-bedroom, detached, self-catering holiday cottage superbly located just four miles from Hereford and less than two miles from the main A49. Even though The Piggery is tucked away amid rolling hills and open countryside it is perfect for couples wishing to explore Herefordshire and south Wales with easy access to all the main destinations including Hereford City, Ross on Wye, Hay on Wye, Ludlow, Leominster, Ledbury, Gloucester, Worcester, Cardiff etc.

The Piggery was converted from a farm building into a dwelling in 2004 and was extensively refurbished and updated into a stunning exclusive holiday cottage in June 2015.

The Piggery now comfortably accommodates two adults with a large open-plan contemporary kitchen and dining space, a separate lounge with doors to the secluded pig-sty patio, separate bedroom with king-size bed and luxurious bedding, dressing room and bathroom (complete with a double-end spa bath) all on one level. The property is situated at the end of a driveway, tucked behind the owner's home, but is completely self-contained and the only holiday cottage on the property. Use of the land and gardens (over one acre) overlooking glorious open countryside is positively encouraged. Sorry, no pets.

IDEAL for people with limited mobility as The Piggery is all one one level and parking is right by the front door.

Please note: there is an inside spa bath in the large bathroom at The Piggery (perfect for sharing all year round) not an exterior 'hot tub' .

Car essential as The Piggery is not on a bus route. Nearest shops 2 miles. Walk into Hereford City centre is approximately 3 miles.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere near the property, only outside if absolutely necessary. Guests will be charged a full dry-cleaning bill for ALL soft furnishings (carpets, curtains, cushions, bedding, blinds etc) if they have smoked inside the property.
The same applies to pets.
Damages and breakages must be paid for as per our terms and conditions of booking.
We ask that guests leave The PIggery in a clean and respectful state - as they found it in when they arrived.

Why can't I call Kate (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Kate (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kate (the owner) a message.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
