As you know, all South Africa has been suffering daily national power cuts of between 2 - 6 hours daily. This is known locally as “Loadshedding”.

This situation is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

We have installed a powerful battery-pack/inverter system that stores electricity from the grid for your comfort during these power cuts.

The system allows you uninterrupted service for: Wifi, TV, DTSV decoder, VOIP landline phone, Lights, 2 Cellphone charge points.

The stove, fridge and white goods will not be operable during power cuts but we have supplied a single gas hob/kettle for you to boil water and do basic cooking should you wish to. There are also several powerful rechargeable battery lights throughout the apartment and plentiful candles!

Most restaurants and retailers in the Hermanus area have back up generators installed and so continue to offer uninterrupted full service

There are 3 recognised seasons in Hermanus - the apartment is priced differently according to these. Tripadvisor will automatically calculate the relevant rates for the dates that you request:

How do damage deposits work?

If Philip (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
