This semi-detached stone-built cottage is located near the market town of Hexham and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.The Barn Cottage is a semi-detached cottage near the market town of Hexham in Northumberland. The cottage sleeps four people and has one king-size double bedroom and one twin with family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a patio with furniture. Situated in the heart of Northumberland, The Barn Cottage is a lovely romantic base to explore this lovely part of the country.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine in utility, dishwasher, 3 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and logs for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Stairgate fitted. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage. Front patio with furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 6 miles, pub 3 miles. Note: Pets allowed downstairs only and must be kept on a lead at all times due to stock on farm.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: A bustling little market town, Hexham is full of antique shops and popular with tourists visiting nearby Hadrians Wall. Beautiful old Hexham Abbey dates back to the 7th Century and has a superb Saxon crypt. Shoppers flock to colourful stalls in The Shambles in the Market Place on Tuesday and close by is the 14th Century Moot Hall, now an art gallery. The town boasts plenty of open spaces, particularly the Sele, next to the Abbey which is now a lovely public park.
