This stone-built wing attached to the owners' home is situated three miles from Hexham and sleeps two people.West Wing Cottage is a stone-built wing, attached to the owners' home in a hamlet location, two miles from Hexham. This cottage sleeps two people and has a double bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside there's off road parking for 1 car, roadside parking and a front, enclosed lawned garden with furniture. West Wing Cottage is a wonderful base for a couple with plenty to see and do in the area.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 1 car, plus unrestricted roadside parking. Enclosed, front lawned garden with furniture. Two medium sized well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: Owner can provide a laundry service at an additional cost if required. Note: There is a £100 good housekeeping bond attached to this property. This will give us authorization to take payment if there is any damage to the property.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrians Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: The market town of Hexham offers antique shops, pubs, an abbey, an art gallery and a racecourse. Also in the area are the village of Corbridge, Hadrian's Wall country and the Heritage Coastline.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that your holiday experience was not a pleasant one and would like to apologise for any distress this matter has caused you. We do not appear to have been contacted during your stay about the problems you experienced with your accommodation. However, I would like to thank you for bringing these issues to our attention so that we can make the property owner aware of any maintenance that needs to be undertaken. I'm sorry that you felt that you were being rushed out of the property on your day of departure. It may be helpful to explain that our owners have a narrow window between checking-out and checking-in times, in which they have to ensure properties are ready for incoming guests. Any delays in customers vacating can often cause the cleaners to overrun and delay future guests gaining access on time. Upon your departure we were informed by the owner of West Wing Cottage that you had vacated the property late and they had also had to carry out additional cleaning. I would once again like to apologise that you were unhappy with being contacted by our representative concerning this but when our owners lodge complaints against our guests we do have an obligation to respond and investigate their claims accordingly. However, I do note that we did not chase you for payment in this instance. If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to call us on 01244 345700.
