Golden Acre is a newly built villa by Alleynes beach on Barbados west coast. The home is 200 meters from the water on lush, tropically manicured grounds.

The area is surrounded by lush tropically landscaped gardens and the natural backdrop of Mount Standfast. The swimming pool is set up against a natural coral stone alcove at the foot of Mount Standfast. It is a very private space where it’s not uncommon to see green monkeys playing in the trees. The pool is shared with the other 8 units at the Golden Acre development.

It takes 3 to 4 minutes to walk to Alleynes beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches on Barbados west coast. Alleynes offers ideal swimming conditions with the warm, calm tropical waters of the Caribbean sea. There are two beach bars located on Alleynes beach (Juju's and Santi) and also Lone Star Restaurant which offers a high end dining experience.

All 3 bedrooms and the main floor of the home are air conditioned. The master suite is furnished with a king bed, and both guest guest bedrooms are furnished with queen beds. Golden Acre can comfortably accommodate up to 6 adult guests.

Golden Acre is conveniently located less than 2 kilometers north of Holetown (5 minutes by car or bus) which has shopping, the Limegrove mall, a grocery store, movie theater and dozens of bars and restaurants.

The property is furnished to be very comfortable for up to 6 guests. The layout of the home is open concept and airy. The living room furnished with a large comfortable corner sofa that can easily fit the whole family. High speed internet is connected to the 50” LED smart TV so you can stream your Netflix account or watch cable TV (all major North American networks). There is also an XBOX 360 with about 10 games and a MP3 compatible stereo with an iPod connection and a line-in device.

The gourmet kitchen is fully outfitted and there is also a propane BBQ available for guests to use.

Hello, I had not seen this review and I apologize for taking so long to respond. This was a valid criticism. I was one of the first owners in the development and the builder (who has maintained the common grounds, including the pool) would only have the pool cleaned once per week. The pool is in an AMAZING location in a natural coral alcove at the foot of mount standfast, but there is literally a forest above it. So, when a really hard rain happens, or sometimes a very hard wind, the pool will get dirty. All of the units are now sold except for one, and I've asked the builder to make absolutely certain the pool is clean all the time. Now that the other owners are in the development we're keeping the pool clean ourselves. This was a valid criticism, and it wasn't because we don't care. It was because the builder would only clean it once per week. But going forward it will be kept much cleaner. Thank you for taking the time to point that out. David Goodale

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send David (the owner) a message.

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
